I’ve been wanting Seafood Soup for a while now so I invited my parents out. My father ordered 1/2 order of oysters on the half shell $16.99 ($20 full order) and berry tea $3.50. My mom got the small bowl of seafood soup $12.99 plus tea $3.50. I got the large seafood soup $16.99 and water. My mom got her soup by her self and her one shrimp was cold. Her potato was on the plate vs in her bowl. Mostly veggies. 5 min later my father got his oysters and then when he got a coughing fit he got his tea as did my mom. I sat there watching. Eventually I got my soup. Giant carrots and two whole potatoes are what I first noticed. Since when does seafood have Mexican Caldo Veggies? And it’s Broth? It didn’t have Sopa De Marisco Broth. It was Caldo de Pollo with Some Frozen Fish tossed in. No Octopus. no Snapper. No Crab. One Shrimp and one cocktail shrimp. Tomatoes, carrots, potatoes and celery. Oh and eventually, we eventually they brought a basket with crackers and three rolls and butter. The rolls were sweet and butter was whipped. We had to ask other servers for refills and for second rolls who told us they would find our server. There weren’t any napkins on the table. My mom got some out of her purse. Service was not good. The soup was a 5 out 10. We were all ready to go get a burger after we done eating and paying $58 plus tip. Very disappointed with the service and especially with the food. Just wasn’t what it should be. There was went much on the menu. What was there was way to expensive for what was being served. I was surprised to see chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken on the menu for $12. But one goes to a fish place to eat shrimp and fish and that was over $20 for small portions. Made me regret just going to H‑E‑B and just...
Read moreMy family and I have been going here since the 90's. We haven't been in a while. The energy of the employees seemed depressing. No smiles. Did not feel welcomed. My son ordered a soda when he received it , it was flat. We asked the server for a different one because there was no carbonation. He said they all were like that so his only option was water or tea. Ordered the calamari and we couldn't eat it because it was so hard and rubbery. The bathrooms had toliet paper filled up in the trash can in the mens room like everyone throws their waste paper in there instead of the toilet. The woman who I assume was the the hostess or manager walked around with a serious look on her face and kept looking at us after we ate like we needed to leave or something. We were very disappointed with our experience and will have to find another restaurant to celebrate our...
Read moreWas there yesterday for lunch. First time here. It's obviously popular because it was busy. I was not impressed with the overall taste of the food and neither was those that accompanied me. The seafood was very bland to our palate like hospital food. My baked potato was good, could of been better without the butter because it already had sour cream on it. Our waiter was very nice along with other staff members. It did take a long time for our food to get to us. And they mixed up the calamari with onion rings...lol. The dinner rolls were like 2nd baked, hard and crispy. My other guest had fish, he said no flavor and was mushy inside. Not impressed...
