Great China Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Harlingen

So I was going to leave this on Facebook but looks like after several bad reviews the Restaurant made it so no one can leave reviews there.

So my lil sister and I went yesterday to the sunshine location in harlingen. Was greeted, server came right behind us as we were seated seemed ok. Getting to the food. I have a allergy to shell fish. Normally when going to a buffet seafood is off to one area. But not here, no organization at all so I had to take my chance of cross contamination of the foods. Eating I realized all the food was at room temperature. Not even warm... which made it not taste right. Even the sweet and sour chicken was not cooked right. It was clear it was thrown in the fryer stuck together and in able to fall apart since breading was missing and around there it was clearly not "cooked" all the way. The only thing being switched out and coming out the kitchen fresh was shrimp and crab. Hardley ate anything. Got up went to the front to pay since the server never came around. The girl taking the payment asked if everything was good I said honestly no the food was cold do y'all check the temperature of the food when it's sitting there. She looked at me confused and said Si as if she was guessing what I wanted to hear than I asked well why is it not even warm or how often is it checked she said I know they are supposed to check it but no se, like she didn't even care. Why ask me if it was good and not care! She just rang up the total and that alone wasn't worth the price so I asked why it was so much I mentioned we hardly ate and again she just looked at me with a idc face never talked to the manager who was doing nothing but walking around. Didn't discount the ticket for the poor food and didn't even apologize for the poor food. Needless to say I'm never going here again and if this is how other great china's are ran you won't see me in them anymore. If the manager sees this I hope somethings done about it. My family and I came to this restaurant today. For the first time and I must say that it was a very disappointing experience. I had raw meat on my plate. Could not chew it correctly. Everything tasted slimy to me. The food has no taste very limited side dishes for the price. As a senior citizen, it was way too high. My daughter could not eat anything in that place. But French fries, the salad bar mind. You had no Taste whatsoeverThe lettuce was white dough and stale and had like little animals crawling around.I will not recommend this place to anyone.If I could rate it less than a one star I would.But will never be returning to this place again.And i'm not even from harlingen, i'm from mcallen, and I saw it on the online, so I thought I'd try it out, but worst ever experience.I've ever had in a chinese buffet restaurants. I should have seen the reviews before. I went into that place which I didn't check it out. Until we left the place and was very disappointed. And I looked it up and sure enough. There's other people with really bad reviews. If I would have seen these, I would have never even stopped...

We were sitting in the restaurant and we were finishing up. When a table with large group got up and left the restaurant. The waitress came over to clean the table and picked up plates that looked like the customers did not use them. She marched over and put the "clean" plates back into the tray so they could be used by the next customer. She even took a napkin off the table and wiped the top plate off before putting the plates back in their plate tray. We asked for the manager and he said it was their policy to put unused plates back in the tray for the next customer. How does the manager or waitress know the plates was not picked up by the customer and return to the stack of plates? How does they know if someone coughed at the table and some germs floated down on the plates? How do they know the napkin was not picked up or coughed on? I will not be going back to Great China Chinese Restaurant because I do not want to eat off plates that has not been cleaned after they been sitting on another customer table. I also wonder if they recycle water or tea glasses that does not look like...
