I placed an online order today for 10 wings all flats. I placed the order at about 6:45. I checked the status of my order before 7 and it appeared to have gone through. I live on Green, right around the corner, so a about 7:10 I proceed to the bar. I want to say again, I literally could walk there from my house, so I know first hand during football season how crowded that bar is. When I arrived at 7:10 one person asked me if I had a takeout order, to which I responded yes. She asked if it was online, which seemed odd to me because I tried calling an order in previously and was told I couldn't do it. But I responded snd gave her my name. She responded by saying, give me a minute, I'll go check on it and proceeded to fill drink orders and attend to other customers. Another person comes to me as I'm patiently standing in the corner waiting for the first person to come back and asks the same question and I respond with yes I have a takeout order, gave my name and told her the first chick was supposed to check, but never came back. She responds with ok and walks off. After standing there for more than 5 minutes with nobody giving any information on my order, a third person walks to the register. I say to her I've been waiting for my order could you check on it for me. She proceeds to say, oh they're kinda backed up because of the large table back there. There literally were 10 people. So basically what you're telling me is that the cook is incapable of handling a table with 10 people, but can handle a bar full of patrons on football Sunday. And I ordered and was charged for all flats, but got drums and flats. My fault because with the horrible service for 10 wings, I should've checked. Lesson learned. I'll take that drive to the Boro on Front. I can get more food for...
Read moreMy first experience with this place was excellent, came in for the wings which I had heard were top notch and they definitely were, the sauce was a flavor bomb coated perfectly on expertly crisped wings. Our server was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
A couple months later a wing meet-up was planned and I jumped at the chance to drive 98 miles to tank some more wings so when the server took my order I let her know I planned on ordering 4 or 5 orders over the course of the meet-up. First and second round were great, was waiting to place another order when the server walked up and handed me my check which I didn't ask for and walked away before I knew what was happening. Everyone at the table caught a good laugh that I was flagged from ordering more wings. Thankfully The Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel was on the ride home and they were more then happy to help me get my wing fix.
Since that time I have heard from several of my friends that the servers seem to be rude often and seem to like padding the bill with beers that were not ordered or consumed.
I would definitely come back for wings but pray I get the server I had the first time, she...
