We ate at Yokohama on an early Saturday evening. We got there before the dinner rush, so there was ample parking and we were seated right away. We are glad our son urged us to dine here! It is now a new favorite restaurant of ours. Their Sushi rolls are large and filling and their Hibachi is served similar to sizzling Fajitas on a hot cast iron plate. Our drinks were Thai Tea and water and for appetizers we selected Crab Cheese Rangoons, and Spicy Garlic Edamame. For our entrees we ordered Shrimp and Steak Hibachi, the Coconut sprinkled Shaky Dog Roll, the King Kong Roll with Smoked Salmon, the Dragon Roll, and a Shrimp Tempura Roll. We also shared their Vanilla Mochi which was a delicious dessert. We shared everything as the orders came out, we like to sample what we all ordered. We like to eat out when we get a chance because we cook lots of meals during the week, Yokohama has been added to our list of places to dine regularly. They are not far from the Sam's Club and Walmart in Harrisburg.

Don’t let anyone tell you all sushi places are created the same. I used to think there was only way to make green mussels but no. They don’t use the usual spicy mayo this was like a sweet and sour sour kind of thing. Maybe when I went the usual staff wasn’t there but I had to get up and have the person that was behind the bar take my order bc the woman who had seated me never returned from the kitchen long enough to acknowledge me. I also had ordered hot tea that smelled as though it was mixed with something else. A salty smell and taste before I added the sugar but because the cup was dark (and didn’t seem to be rinsed or cleaned out before it was given to me) I just decided to not drink it. I’ve also had better Thai tea as well seemed like they put too much of the cream on top. I hate to be negative but I wanted to be transparent about this place. They had good sticky rice and tnt rolls so it wasn’t a complete miss. Just make sure you’re picky if you do decide to order.

The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars was because the lime seemed like it was cut long time ago and was dried out with no juice. And the fact that I had to wait outside their front doors because of Coronavirus which has nothing to do with them. But it still was a negative impact on my customer experience. But other than that the food was great customer service was good. Pad Thai didn't have as much flavor as I have had before. Never had mushrooms in my fried rice before so if you order fried rice and you don't like mushrooms take it out. The mango salad was delicious. We also had some Thai lettuce wraps, which were all so good. I hope this review helps. And if the restaurant reads this good job keep doing what you're doing

First time here at Yokohama - wasn't great, wasn't bad either.

The place is ok as far as ambiance...you tell it has been something else turned over several times.

Not a convenient location for me so I'm not sure I will be returning...well see - maybe. Food here is Asian fusion so there is a variety of dishes...Japanese and Thai, which is nice.

We started with the Thai summer rolls which were actually really nice, much nicer than I have seen in a while. We also got the Jalapeno Yellowtail, which is a favorite of mine. The peppers weren't seeded or de-veined so they were a bit hot - but good nonetheless...the ponzu seemed a bit lacking - but we did enjoy it however - we also started with a seaweed salad which was ok - pretty much standard, I was a bit underwhelmed.

So I don't eat rolls - I won't be commenting on them. I had a bit of a confusing argument with the waitress ordering both nigiri and sashimi - even after repeatedly telling her rice and - no rice, she seemed confused and at times ordering became loud and frustrating.

I got an assortment - Hamachi sashimi - Fluke Sashimi, Striped Bass nigiri and Maguro nigiri. First let me say the plating and presentation here are first rate and top notch - everything was beautiful.

The fish however were all over the place. Nothing was consistent. Nothing was sliced consistently - the fluke sashimi was sliced so thin you could practically see through it. The Hamachi - thankfully was a little more generous, but for sashimi was still quite a bit smaller than I have come to expect.

The striped bass was ok - and just, not the best - but it wasn't bad - wont order it again.

I was disappointed in the selection for sushi - I would have liked to see the addition of White tuna (escolar) and some Toro (fatty belly)

Overall I was unimpressed - it was ok. Giving it 3 stars - going to try to return, try some other dishes, maybe a few rolls - but I certainly wasn't blown away the...

My friends surprised me and took me for sushi for my birthday. There were about 20 of us there. We waited 45 minutes, mouths dry, not even served a glass of water! We had to get our own cups and pitchers of water. The server frantically came to our table in an attempt to take our food orders. She wrote down about 5 and scurried to answer the phone, claiming that she'd "be right back". SHE NEVER CAME BACK! 40 minutes later we decided to write down the remainder of our 15 orders ourselves and hand deliver them to her, while she waited on other guests. She thanked us repeatedly and mentioned how busy she was. Another 40 minutes went by before we decided to go to the sushi chef and ask if our food was ready. Meanwhile the server continue to wait on the take out guests and the other 4 people who were in the restaurant (who happened to be Asian). Three members of our party repeatedly went to the sushi bar and served our table the ENTIRE NIGHT! Not one plate of ours was brought to our table by the server! After we ate, we asked for a discount to compensate us for our trouble... since we did all the work for her (which is a violation of safe serve). The night ended with her YELLING at us and claiming that we "could have left if we wanted to". She said she didn't ask for our help so its not her fault, even though she so graciously thanked us as she continued to hand plates to us to take to our own table. She was rude, out of order, disrespectful, loud, short tempered, unprofessional, and irate! We did her job! Had we waited for her, we would still be waiting to eat! The food was good, but the service was deplorable! There are so many other restaurants (Shogun, Akitas, etc.) you can go to for great sushi instead this one!...

I visited this establishment for a Birthday dinner and I doubt I will be back. The waitress took some of our orders and left to go help other guests. She never came back. Someone from my party suggested we write down our own orders and give them to the waitress to help out. Afterwards, we waited for over 2 hours before we recieved water. In fact, another member of our party went up to the waitress and requested 2 pitchers and served us our water. After about another hour, myself and two other members of our party proceeded to go back to the kitchen area to help serve our own food. The waitress was gracious for our help at first. Once we served ourselves, the waitress still did not return. I had to get up and get to-go boxes for the table. She arrived rather quickly with our checks when it appeared we were packing up. We requested to speak to the manager because we wanted to be compensated for serving ourselves and waiting 2 hours for water. The waitress was irate, rude, and flat out disrespectful. The manager offered 10% and free dessert. We were fine with that. We told the waitress that we would accept the discount, however, the 3 of us who served ourselves should not have to pay. Those of us who served did not care about getting our meal for free. We tried to pay and the waitress argued with us about wanting free food...we weren't expecting anything free. She stormed off and refused to calm down when she came back. She yelled at us about wanting things for free. We remained calm. We paid and left. We...
