I had to change my review, tonight I was looking forward to a proper meal. I ordered the fish special which was 12.95. The waitress waited until my main dish was ready to serve my salad, the platter was a fried seafood combo and I ordered the 1 piece fried fish. it appeared to be a fried seafood combo platter, I explained that isn't what I ordered. She took the plate back to the kitchen land left my bake potato on the table, this gave me a chance to eat my salad. I asked for blue cheese dressing, and got something like creamy Italian. I didn't complain. She brings out my plate of fish over French fries. I cut into the fish and it looked slimy and pink, well I couldn't eat this and it turned me off of the fish. I ate my baked potato and the host walked by a few times, finally he asked if something was wrong with the fish I told him it wasn't cooked completely and I asked for my check. He asked me if i wanted the fish and I declined. Not sure he knew that was the second plate the kitchen sent out to me with something wrong. He told me he took the fish off my check. I was charged full price for the baked potato and salad. The more I have pondered on this subject, most places would have comped me, or at least given the platter price of the sides. I will not be going back to this diner, they obviously don't care if they keep customers coming back. I understand things are hard on these diners but it's difficult on the customers too. I'm in disability and paying $8.03 for a small tossed salad with the wrong dressing and a warm baked potato Sadly, I will not be returning to this diner, they really don't want my business anyway.

Read moreNot the greatest experience and with all the great reviews my boyfriend and I read, our expectations were not met. Told the server we wanted to order food to take home with us. She said we can order it before we leave so it isn’t sitting the whole time we were eating. We said ok, ordered our food and waited. I ordered the Firemen Special #11 with French Toast because so many people raved about it. Food came and we were disgusted. The home fries my boyfriend ordered weren’t even cooked. It was like eating raw potato and the eggs we both had, had no flavor at all. While we’re still eating, our server ( didn’t catch her name but she’s an older woman with very short light purple hair) came over with the check, grabbed my boyfriends plate of half eaten food and said have a good day. Not once did she come over and ask how the food was or ask why his plate still had food on it. Come to find out, she was going on break and basically wanted to be done serving us. I was a server for 10 years and that kind of service would have gotten me fired. I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. City Line Diner, you need...
Read moreCame to your restaurant tonight and there was only one waitress which was fine because it wasn't busy. The food was great but your restaurant was not very clean. Our waitress only had from what we could see was five tables but she took awhile to come over and take our order. We had our 2 kids with us and the waitress with the orange hair gave us our food and I had to ask 2 different times for cottage cheese that I had ordered. Then she was gone the rest of the time we were eating. As we were in the middle of our meal the waitress had only us and one other table that was getting ready to leave, we could hear the waitress talking to frank who I assume was the cook about how she was gonna come in late on Monday due to payback to another waitress for being late. Not something I feel you should be loud about in front of customers. Then we finished our meal and had to find our waitress who was off talking to frank so that we could get our bill. Because of the service we only tipped 2 dollars. I hope that she takes this into consideration the next time so she can get...
