La Pizza has OK food, good prices and abhorrent service. Besides ordering food from this location uneventfully on several occasions, here's why this location doesn't deserve your business.
On 10/28/2018 I was returning to my condo on a busy street when a parked car with the La Pizza topper was left unattended with its hazard lights on. As a result, I had to stop and wait in traffic for the driver to return and move his car. If my phone hadn't died right then, I'd have called a policeman to issue a citation or at least taken a proper photo of the license plate. Instead all I've got is dashcam video of it, which isn't enough to issue a summons to the business. Anyway, the owner's response explains why they're not deserving of your business.
I called the location and explained what had occurred. The owner acknowledged it and apologized eventually, to which I explained I was not satisfied. I showed up the following business day and explained once again - the owner, again, didn't care one bit. He didn't care that I was inconvenienced one bit.
I don't know about you, but if I had a delivery driver impede someones access to their home I'd at the VERY LEAST least acknowledge that the driver was incorrect to have done so. That's literally all I ever wanted, though it'd be nice to know the owner cared more. For these reasons and more I cannot...
Read moreI live close by which the only reason I go here, and yeah, this is my last straw. On a good day, they have mediocre pie or a bad day, it’s going to dried out with no saving it. Today, I was surprised to find a fresh cheese pie. Score!
First of all, the girl charged me double, and when I pointed it out before swiping, I was met with the Gen Z stare. Again, I pointed it out. She repeated the incorrect number. More staring. I corrected her again. Finally, I paid.
Then, I realized that the fresh pie was untouched. I pointed out that I wanted the fresh pie. More staring. This went on until my slice is ready and the guy handed me the slice. At this point, I’m like, “fine.”
I get home and it’s the most disgusting dried out slice ever. I threw it out.
Also, do NOT order a burger here. I made that mistake a few months ago. Cheap frozen burgers on top of a bun that was burnt, yet frozen bread on the inside. The fries were good, though.
Edited to add: This was not the girl with the glasses. She’s super nice and...
Read moreI grabbed the Masala dosa with lentil stew that came with some kind of green stuff for $4 here. It's actually a really filling meal, and cheap, but it felt kind of lacking in flavor for me. It's great that it was mostly Indian families here, but I expected a bit more. I got the more mild version as I don't enjoy the kind of spicy that burns all the way down (as well as on the way out), but I still got that heat in the mild version. I can only imagine how spicy the hot version is.
I'm not a vegetarian or vegan or gluten-free eater or any of that, and I much prefer meat in my dishes, but I can still appreciate meals without meat in them, and this wasn't it.
I'll definitely be back to try something else when I'm in the neighborhood, but I felt like the high rating didn't justify the dosa. You also have a be a freakin' vulture when getting a seat here, I totally lucked out with someone leaving, but boy it...
