Everytime I have gone to this library the staff has been extremely helpful. I go mainly to use the computers and the only reason I didn't give a 5 rating is that for the past few months, the computers have been extremely slow and have been freezing up. I have noticed that several have been down consistently. On the pro side they have many computers and it has never been difficult to have one available.
My only wish and suggestion is to have a reciprocating program with other towns for library card holders. For example, a person living in a nearby town could check out books from Harrison as long as they has a valid library card from the town they live in. Vice versa a Harrison resident with a valid Harrison library card could check out books from other participating libraries. It would certainly open up a much larger selection of books. Where I used to live the libraries had this program and it was a...
Read moreI have always had a really nice experience with this library. The staff is extremely helpful. It has been a while now since I visited this library, but if I have always got what I needed. I was surprised to see they even had a good collection of tech books. The online website is not great, but it is serves the purpose to search and find books. I call up and reserve books and then go collect it. As soon as I'm done, I drop them off and it has all worked out perfectly fine! Sometimes, I even call up and extend my return date and they do it for me :) I kinda agree with the previous review that said this library can have some participating program with neighboring ones to open up choices of books and/or even dvd rentals, if they have one. The place where I stayed before had a really good collection of dvds too. Would love to see betterment...
Read moreTo start off this library has the most nasty staff I’ve ever met. I’ve come here often with a child that I teach which whom has autism (they are aware) and they told me I couldn’t stay upstairs on the first floor because he makes a little bit of noise. Which is very well understandable. One of the workers explained that I have to go downstairs to the children room. I have to write notes on our sessions and I’m not allowed to use the computer in the children room computer or even go upstairs without them kicking me out because they feel he’s too noisy. The staff has to learn how to communicate better and actually figure out a way to compromise. I do live in the neighborhood and it would be lovely to use my neighborhood library without a nasty staff harassing me.
