Brick House Coffee Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in Harrisonville

I can't rate the coffee because we weren't able to get it. 45 minutes waiting. Arrived at 1015 am. One family in line ahead of us at the counter to order, their order was not taken until 1030. Once I ordered, with somehow 6 orders in front of me despite being the 2nd person in line, it took her 10 minutes to even put my cups in the drink line to be made. The man making the drinks seemingly had to clue what he was doing as he was pumping out about 1 coffee every 15 minutes. Plus he was pre pulling the espresso shots into cups and letting them cool down? Finally at 10:50 with my drinks still being 6 orders behind I asked her to refund me my 30 dollars as i had to be somewhere at 11. She said it would take too long to do that and gave me a gift card instead. Her reason for the slowness? "We've never been busy before". A waste of time there and now a waste of time disputing a charge with my bank. Clearly they need to do some rehiring. I saw at least a dozen other customers asking them where their food was, every time the answer was "I'm sure it's up next". In the almost hour I was there I saw them run one food order. I walked into Brick House Coffee around 11:30 am on a Saturday. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman that assisted me in the ordering process. I didn’t know the drill, do you bring the food, and coffee or? I had lots of questions, this gentleman has good customer service skills. I got my latte and was glad I swiped right. The Swipe Right was everything as advertised, and more, it was delicious. I sat at a table by the window and took in the scenery while waiting for my food. There are many quaint areas for sitting and talking, eating or working. I’m impressed with my Verizon phone service in this building, but I noticed they offer WiFi if needed. My food arrived and I had to take a photo. It just looked it it was going to be good, and it was. The gravy had just a little kick. I could have done without the “green stuff”, but it makes it look prettier. I finished my food, cleared my table and visited the restroom. The decor in this room doesn’t really match the vibe of the rest of the place, but it’s clean, had warm water at the sink and I didn’t have to try to guess how to use the paper towels! Referring to the comment below I can understand your frustration with the situation but if you are speaking about Saturday the 23rd I was there from 10:30 till 11:05 am. They had a line of drinks on the counter and were producing high quality coffee even with the rush of people. The latte art was a delightful surprise along with a pleasant and informative conversation from the male staff member making the coffee. A female staff member had crossed my path multiple times with balanced plates delivering food in a polite and kind manner. The overall experience was one that makes me appreciate the effort and time put into each coffee over a mass producing low quality cup.
