Easily the worst Walgreens I have ever visited for medications. There is always a line of cars in the drive-thru and it often takes 20mins to make it through. They forget to fill things, lose paperwork. It’s nutz

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! TLDR below.

The pharmacist is awful (the male one with shaved head). Not only did he not run my script through my insurance, but he lied and said I needed a prior auth when I had one, and this was confirmed by the Leawood location before driving over and by my insurance company in text and email.

It was a Friday evening, and I had gone days back and forth with this guy. It was and is a super important med (like ALL meds) and while I was searching for the information from my insurance company to show him, he started lowering the bars to lock the pharmacy a few minutes before they were supposed to close. While I was standing there. He told me BACK UP SO YOU DONT GET HIT.

Come to find out, he was lying. The pharmacy in Leawood called to tell them YES FILL HER SCRIPT, and it was the female pharmacist who was there.

YES, SHE HAS A VALID SCRIPT. FILL IT. NOW. When I went to pick it up, I told her about my experience and she made excuses for her colleague.

He told me that prior auth is only good for one location, not all. This is a flat-out lie and DISINFORMATION. She said that is true SOMETIMES. When?!? Walgreens confirmed this is a lie.

I told her well that if I made a mistake at work, I'd want someone to tell me. This man knows better. He just didn't want to fill my script and was in a hurry to close up even though I had been calling daily and even earlier that day.

It takes a minute to count by 5s (how they do in the pharmacy... I was a tech for CVS) and fill it. Considering I was telling him it had been 6 whole weeks I had gone without and was suffering without it to the point I was in tears, he lacked empathy and was completely void of emotion.

Had that happened at CVS (it wouldn't or we'd be fired), he could not care less. As a medical professional, he lacks the standards of care and the basic understanding of pharmacy law, or else he is a malignant liar who enjoys seeing people suffer. Either one is horrible.

If given a choice (I drive to Leawood out of my way by 90 miles round trip) to avoid this man. He seems to be able to get away with it, and I and others in the pharmacy profession have noted how dangerous he is.

DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS IT IS YOUR ONLY CHOICE.

The rest of the staff are wonderful, including the pharmacy techs who I feel sorry for having to work with such a toxic personality.

Also? I did also get "pretend shot" here 2 years ago while in law school.

Not to rate the Harrisonville Police here but I give them ZERO as they failed to respond and also lied about mandatory psych holds and said if I wanted to file a report about the man who pretend shot me and got down like he was in WWI trenches shooting me (pretend) through the locked doors of the stoor (manager of store and cashier were also terrified)...was told I had to drive to the station and file report and he would be arrested and sent to jail.

I said he needs mental health, not jail. So I didn't call. I can't imagine how horrible that would be for someone so clearly out of it and the bullying in jail... no. He didn't need jail; he needed medical care for his illness.

However, the manager said this man comes in frequently and acts up, and she calls the police and they do nothing. It is frightening, especially when these events aren't exactly rare.

I was told by police "YOURE NOT FROM AROUND HERE ARE YOU?" Again... I don't feel safe there, although it is not the staff's fault.

Corporate was called, and they failed to intervene either.

TLDR; Walgreens in Harrisonville is not my favorite due to male shaved head pharmacist, his pharmacist female colleague who makes excuses for his potentially fatal lies, and safety issue of police not responding to a man who needs mental help but refuse to do their job (and also lie about state law). AVOID...

Sad to say, this place would rather see you die or in a hospital then fill your prescriptions. I have to take gabapentin, 300 mg tablets three times a day. My insurance will only cover two tablets three times a day so I always have a partial refill at the end of the month I pay cash for. They refused that refill which is going to cause me to go into the hospital in about 24 hours with severe withdrawal symptoms. The pharmacist did not care. It was a snotty looking little blonde woman. I will be contacting corporate, I have already sent emergency messages to my doctor and I will wake up the state attorney's office on Sunday morning if that's what it takes. That pharmacist should not be practicing medicine. Go anywhere else but here and do it like your life...

I don’t understand what’s going on with my medications that I’ve been getting at Walgreens for the past few years now! I’m disabled and can’t stand or let alone walk with out epidural and my medication. I got a call from Walgreens pharmacy yesterday two days before my prescriptions are due to be filled, all they told me is they won’t fill my prescriptions anymore because they’re too dangerous?! My Dr has been weaning me off of one of my medications slowly! I don’t understand what’s going on but I guess my family will be going else where and I don’t really want to do that because I’ve been with Walgreens for years now! I also never write bad reviews but my Doctors know what they’re doing with me,...
