My husband and I drove 30 mins to eat at this establishment with our two babies. On one side of the restaurant there are over stacked boxes. My son is globally delayed and doesn’t know direction, and the lady working the cash registered started yelling at him not to go on that side of the restaurant. I was literally trailing him and she could see that as well. We ordered fried rice, orange chicken, egg drop soup, and chicken chow main, all in which was on the family pack menu. When we received the food, the waitress put all the food that was piping hot in front of my toddler, again, who has a disability and doesn’t know if something is too hot to touch. Being from San Diego, we have much experience with tasting authentic Chinese food and this was far from even the lowest grade of food that we have ever had. The fried rice was this orange color, and lacked the consistency of being fried… it also had this nearly raw, wiggly, wormy meat that didn’t even resemble chicken. The type of meet you get in the back alley way of a wet market. The species being questionable. The orange chicken was a glob of the same mystery meat. The noodles smelt like urine and the taste wasn’t far from the smell. The egg drop soup and white rice along with the spring rolls were the only edible parts of this meal. We didn’t even eat any of the food aside from tasting it. And aside from the soup, spring rolls and Rangoon. That was also the only thing we fed the kids. When the cashier asked us if it was ok we told her no. I t pointed out that we couldn’t eat it because it was questionable and we didn’t want to get food poising from grey wiggly meat or noodles that smelt like they came strait out of a urinal. The lady then got a gentlemen. They both hovered over my child who as in the high chair next to our table, handing the food to each other over his head, again my son has a disability and doesn’t know not to grab and the lady then yelled at him not to touch the plate she had over his head while explaingthe problem with the food and my son then started crying. The gentlemen began arguing with me about the food and was bewildered by our unsatisfactory behavior but I needed to remove myself as my son was hysterical. As the food wasn’t eaten and it was terrible I asked for a refund. The gentlemen then gave my husband only ten dollars when we paid $40 and continued to say we ate the food when we didn’t and that he has to pay his workers. My husband said that isn’t a fair refund so the guy then gave him $20. While still arguing that the food was good. This restaurant is the next breeding ground for a Covid virus. Terrible food and terrible service. Far from authentic and food poisoning waiting to happen. All the people rating five stars must be mistaken Ning this restaurant with the Walmart deli down the street as you will surely find food closer to authentic sand food that is actually safe to eat. When my husband received the $20 they lady then continued to scream at my husband “ you leave now!!!” Don’t waste your time or health and buy a pf Chang frozen...
Read moreA few years ago, we decided to try this restaurant. We honestly didn't care for the food, in spite of how much our acquaintances talked it up. (Now, we do spend a lot of time in Springfield, Missouri, so our bar for Chinese food is set pretty high.) Last year, we decided to try it again. This was after the Covid shutdown. The restaurant was opened for carry out only. I went into the restaurant to order, and was second in line. It took me at least 15 minutes to get my turn to step up to the window. Then, I stood there for literally another 10 minutes, waiting for the young man on the other side of the plexiglass to give me his attention. He just kept pulling online order tickets off the printer. When he finally asked what I wanted to order, I first asked how long orders were currently taking. He said 45-60 minutes. To which I politely said no thank you and left. Remember, I had already been waiting 25 minutes. Fast forward to today. So many people have raved about this restaurant, we wanted to try it one more time. I learned my lesson last year, and so I ordered online! My husband wanted sesame chicken, I wanted beef and broccoli. We both ordered fried rice. The good: The portions were generous. The beef was well seasoned. The broccoli was cooked just right. The bad: The chicken was TERRIBLE! If you bit a piece in half, it was nothing but breading. What little meat was in the middle was stringy. Popcorn chicken from Walmart has bigger pieces of meat than the chunks of breading he got. He ended the meal saying it was by far the worst take out meal he had ever had. Very...
Read moreGood food, good portions VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Went in and ordered and dined in with friends last night. This place request you to take your receipt and sit it on the table so when they bring your food they know what goes where. We had 3 separate orders and ended with 2 receipts and when the non English speaking lady came to our table the orders were mixed up. The lady that rang us up came over and I asked her for the 3rd receipt as there was 3 orders. She threw her head back in disgust and let this big sigh out like we were irritating her asking by a receipt to get the orders straightened out. Even though there were 3 orders she printed 2 orders on one ticket, which is ok no attitude required. I liked this place but will never return. Good customer service it so important to the success of a business maybe it was a bad night but they really lack good...
