This review strictly pertains to Hartford,SD Pizza Ranch delivery services which up until last night, we had been regular weekly customers. Do not expect any sort of consistency in the quality of food delivered or the delivery service itself. And especially, if either is bad, do not on any occasion call in to let them know that your food or service was substandard lest you end up on the “banned” aka “no longer allowed to order” carry out or delivery service as I have because I called to report that my traditional, unbreaded chicken wings still had disgusting smelly scaled wing feathers still attached. The co-owner quickly began berating me because I simply felt that they should know what happened & address it with their kitchen staff so it doesn’t happen again. But no, Adam DeJong (co-owner) instead made a rash decision that he is never wrong & those feathers were really breading on a traditional Pizza Ranch wing that has never been breaded. I ordered the boneless once & never again because it was like eating shoe leather, mostly breading with very little pieces dry chicken stuffed inside & yet I never called to report that, I simply fed it to...
Read moreAdvertising says it's a buffet but at 3:30 pm they only had a small, cold salad bar offered for $5.99 per person plus the cost of drinks. The chocolate putting was spoiled (sour) so we were concerned about the freshness of the other items on the bar. The soups are likely dehydrated packs of ingredients that you just add hot water and stir. We also ordered a pizza which was alright, but it hardly had any sauce so it was pretty dry and it also barely had any toppings on it even though it was supposed to be a "meatlovers". The inside had ample seating and it was nicely decorated, but there was only 1 bathroom for the entire restaurant. It was our first time eating at this place and after driving further we realized it's actually a chain restaurant. It is very unlikely that we will be stopping at another...
Read moreWe like that Pizza Ranch is a good deal for the price. So, when we can, we will often eat at one and just have that be the meal for the day and just eat little snacks the rest of the day. On our way to Virginia we saw this Pizza Ranch had decent reviews so we drove a little bit out of our way to give it a try. This one is in the same plaza as a sunshine grocery. They had many options on the salad bar, they had different options on the hot bar like fried fish and Mac n cheese. Their chicken was really hot and fresh! I didn’t even have pizza this time I just ate salad and the hot bar. My husband had the pizza and said it was really good. The guy managing the bar had his daughter with him and they both were really nice. If you are in the area and are starving, this place will fill you up...
