Best kept secret in Hartford. I drove in (pleasant drive) and was able to park without an issue. Saw the Sinclair Gas next door and that was great!! (I only use Sinclair gas in my Subi WRX) The outside is a little indistinguishable from the surrounding homes, buildings, etc (which is GREAT, because it's so pleasing when you walk in.)
It's the older.pub style that I like. The ladies were charming and friendly.
It's a straightforward menu, there's a drink menu if you're looking for that too.
First impression, I liked the portions. The chop steak was delicious. I had a salad with bleu cheese crumbles. I should have asked for some Ranch but I didn't want to have too much dairy. I also had a loaded baked potato. Its was well worth it. Plenty of butter and both my steak and potato were served hot. Nothing is worse than a cold dish.
Sidenote: They have lemonade (I always like a nice cold lemonade. Add grenadine if you want a 'pink' lemonade.
You gotta go at least once. You definitely have a fan in...
Read moreThis was by far the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in my life. Was there even an experienced chef in the kitchen?! When the only thing you serve on a menu is steaks, and steaks is in your name you would think you would be able to actually cook a steak! Our food was brought out with 90% of the steaks still completely raw fully uncooked inside, just terrible. We could continuously hear the waitresses suggest to people that their steaks can be brought back into the kitchen and be cooked some more, which was done with mine, only to be returned raw again. Horrible, and the worst part is there was absolutely no compensation for the bad service. I was stuck with a bill for a plate in which no food was eaten for my entire family. I will never eat at this place again, even if I am paid to. I am not even exaggerating when I am saying this is the worst experience at a restaurant in my entire life. IF YOU SEE THE SIGNS FOR THE PLACE ON THE HIGHWAY AND ARE TRAVELING, EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. YOU'VE...
Read moreWonderful dining experience. Being from Wisconsin, I'm a bit of a supper club connoisseur... Lol. This had every element of a Wisconsin supper club. Walking in, I felt like I was back in the supper clubs of old. Greeted by a friendly hostess and weight staff. I was there on a Saturday night and was handed a small menu with the different sizes of prime rib. With the prime rib, you get a wonderful wedge salad baked potato with all the fixings, freshly homemade bread and any side that you want to go with the prime rib. I had the sauteed mushrooms with head to fantastic taste to them. I didn't have any dessert but saw a few go by including a brownie with ice cream. Had I saved room, I would have opted for a good old fashioned Grasshopper ice cream drink. The wait staff were all friendly and hustling around to get everybody served and seated. Definitely will go back and enjoy the...
