AL's Bar & Grill LLC — Restaurant in Hartford

Went here to try their nightlife on a Saturday and will never come back. This place is an older crowd id say like 35+ type of crowd, but we were bored and decided to come anyways. We could tell we were literally the only young ones in there. My friend and I were both ID and checked at the door upon arrival as normally all bars and clubs do. Soon as we are heading to the bathroom the owner who appeared drunk stops us to ID us.. as if we had not already given our IDs at the door. Mind you we are both 27 and I used my passport as my form of identification. My friend needed to use the bathroom badly but we were blocked from going to it. This entire interaction was weird, so we decided to not show our IDs for a second time and started to walk towards the exit to leave. The owners apparent sister follows us to the door still asking for our IDs, we called them weird because thats exactly what they were and we left. Why hire security to ID people if you’re not trusting that they did their job? If you’re in your twenties just stay away from here....

The owner is African-American two of the bartenders are also African-American and there’s always African-Americans in our place of business. T L and as for Ariana Marrero if this place was full of older ppl then you would fit right in. But you and your lil friends with no IDs under age . You did not stay because your friends had no IDs . So please do not lie on a family run business we are good people and good to...

No food, yup a bar and grill without food 😭 turned out more of club, tight. ppl cool vibes the staff totally not friendly no smiles no engagement with the bar and I think the owner was on them registers like they were stealing. Too small to be feeling ppl up for guns. Pool table but the walls don't let you play 😆 I guess is ok spot to grab a quick beer. Music all I have to say if it don't make me move you...
