The breakfast sandwich I got there was quite flavorful, and the staff was super kind. The sandwich wasn't exactly the one I ordered (which is not enough for me to downgrade) but I also wasn't going to be picky and waste food. Bacon instead of sausage is not a super big deal as I love both. I was particularly impressed by the calmness with which one of the, I presume, owners interacted with an older African-American gentlemen who came into the establishment. The content of the conversation made me think he was homeless, but the staff treated him with kindness, bringing him coffee and food.    Read moreThis is an excellent spot for a quick workday lunch in downtown Hartford. The chicken cutlet sandwiches are superb, both with and without sauce. The other deli sandwiches are great, and I would recommend ordering them on a hero (grinder/sub/wedge/hoagie, depending on your regional terminology) both because you get a better value and because that bread tends to be better.
If you like roast beef, I recommend asking if it’s rare on the day you’re there. Their roast beef is much better rare, and when it’s not, order something else.

The employees worked hard taking orders and that line cut down quick. Everyone was pleasant and patient while I ordered for my family of four. Cashier was so nice to me and my kids.
