Hartford Public Library, Downtown Library — Attraction in Hartford

It's a nice downtown library which has improved compared to pre-pandemic times and before the pipe burst from the day before Christmas Eve 2022 destroyed it. It's a very cool place to explore, read, relax and And study. The children's room looks nice and the main floor looks cool which makes the library an inviting and welcome place to spend time at. They have some cool books and many other resources. There's also a lot of seating and they even have unique things such as Library of Things collection, a DVD checkout slot machine and many more.

The staff are caring, courteous and helpful. The customer service is great and the people served are good people.

Literally a place like no other. I lived in Hartford downtown for almost a year, I visit the library at least three times a week either alone or with my two year old daughter. Children department is one of the best I have ever seen, the building is modern and has the most beautiful cafe in the ground floor with a gorgeous glass front view. People there are friendly and helpful, I ordered some books that were not available in the library and they brought in less than 10 days. I also was privileged to attend a free workshop about early childhood education and got a certificate. I wouldn't love Hartford the way I do if this library...
