By far the worse experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. First of when we entered the place there was no one there to greet/sit us. We sat ourselves and waited for someone to come to our table. We get our menus and we read the English translations as we aren’t Colombian and didn’t know what some Of these plates were. We order el “patacon con pollo” , which it was translated to “chicken strips and crispy plantains with salad”. To my understanding chicken strips are usually fried chicken pieces. We get our food and stare at it (my friend and I both ordered the same thing) like what the heck is this?! We speak with the waitress who seemed very careless of what we had to say. We explain we thought we were getting actual chicken strips and she explains that that’s what they serve for that plate. The chicken was cut in tiny pieces, in a sauce with onions and peppers. The plantains under this mix getting soggy. And some Lettuce w a piece of tomato. They did not offer a discount or if we wanted to order something else on the menu. We were just dismissed by the waitress who didn’t understand English and didn’t let us know till we had already explained to her the problem, so we translated. She calls the mngr who ain’t Available so the waitress comes back to the table and says that we can set up a ‘’meeting’ with the mngr at another time. Worse costumer service I have ever experienced. First time in my life I didn’t leave a tip. Left hungry and...

It was my first time coming to this restaurant and ordering take out. The restaurant was extremely clean. Didn't know they had a bar and they had an artist singing. I felt a bit out of place, I had just gotten out of work and my attire wasn't the best. The staff there could tell it was my first time there, they were trying to suggest different items from the menu for me to try. The items on the menu are a but pricey, but the portions and the taste make up for it. I ordered 4 empanadas, 2 chicken with shrimp and 2 carne. The salsa that comes with it is amazing, definitely a must add. One of them didn't make it on to the photo cause I was starving and ate it on my drive home. I highly recommend the empanadas they are delicious and crunchy, very different from the empanadas I'm used to made with flour discs, these are made with cornmeal. They are great! I also ordered the chicken breast with sauteed onions, white rice and beans. Although I waited for about a half hour for my food, the food was great, everything was fresh and tasted delicious. No way you can finish their plates in one sitting, I got full fast and still had leftovers for the next day. Would definitely...

Came In with the family, waited 20 mins before anyone helped. Then food came I ordered a dish of seafood and pasta. The seafood was rubbery and pasta undercooked, worst of all it was hella spicy. No where in the menu sayed this dish was spicy but I mean unbearable, I like spice this was not edible. My father orderd a steak that was supposed to come with rice and potatoes, the steak came and 15 mins later came the rest of the food which was cold by the way. Then the waitress was at the bar the whole time, it was hard to gain their attention for a glass of water. This place used to be awesome and was highly rated by me in the past. But their quality and attention to customers has def shifted towards the worst. As a Colombian it was a easy recommended to friends, but now I feel they let me down and can't in good faith recommend. I hope they go back to form but I won't...

Being Colombian myself, I was super excited for this place. The first time we came here last week it was amazing and exactly what we ordered and more. Today, we got shorted an empanada and arepa, AND our beans seem to be moldy… when I called about our order the lady was very nice but the cook she was speaking to IMMEDIATELY became defensive until he REALLY looked at the ticket and realized he genuinely overlooked our sides. Not to mention my dish was supposed to come with mushrooms which it did not. Seems to be a nice place but clearly their cooks are not all on the same page. Wish we had whoever was in the kitchen the first time we came by but after today, I’d rather not take my chances here again. Or get rid of today’s cook because damn that was $60 down the drain.

Parrilla y Sabores offers one of the best latino cuisine around Hartford. Their Colombian flavor, amplified by incredible costumer service deserves 5 stars across the board. I highly encourage you to try all of the empanadas, very flavorful and crisp on the outside. Saltado de Pollo is my go-to entré, paired with a Piña Colada, believe me, your taste buds will love you. Also, make sure you are hungry, the portions are huge!
