I am so glad I was finally able to find a good Mexican restaurant in the Hartford area! Seriously, if you're craving for Mexican food, this is the place to go! I had my food delivered and was so glad to see the driver wearing a mask when delivering my food, I gave her a bigger tip for it! I normally order tacos, but was feeling in need of a change, so I ordered a steak torta and my husband ordered the spicy burrito. Oh. my. god. that was the best decision we could have made. The steak was flavored and on point, the bread for the torta was toasted perfectly, and the spicy burrito actually made my husband sweat! He was particularly satisfied with the heat level seeing as every time he orders something spicy, it's usually at a lower spice level than what he is expecting. Overall great meal, and because we ordered nachos as our appetizer we made that one order turn into two nights worth of dinner! Definitely check this place out, we for sure will be...
Read moreMediocre at best Have been here in the past and it’s been good. Decided to give it a try again. Ordered carry out- I got a steak burrito, chicken quesadilla, and wife got chicken enchiladas. For those bragging about authentic Mexican here - have never eaten authentic Mexican food. The burrito was big - but 2/3 stuffed with lettuce. Had a little steak and a little beans in it. Steak was seasoned rather poorly. Was dry, as if it was over cooked, and has very little taste. Salty - yes. Flavor - not so much. The quesadilla was in a layer of grease in the container. So much so the bottom of it was soggy with grease- think wet bread. Again - just not much taste. The wife’s enchiladas were okay. Nothing great or that I’d recommend to run down to. Salsa - my wife actually thought it was tomato sauce. So there’s that. Overall, I can’t really recommend it. It’s just not that good anymore. Ate at the food truck two weeks ago in Hartford -...
Read moreFirst time there today, great little Mexican spot, you can tell the food is made right, perfect flavors. Complimentary chips with 2 salsas, one hot one mild, homemade chips, I had a sopa and a tamale, both were excellent, the beans are very good with a good mix of whole and crushed beans, which I personally prefer, the rice was a tad dry for my taste, but I think that's more authentic, which is exactly what this place is. My daughter said the ground beef in the tacos was the best she's had, and that says a lot coming from her, her dad can cook pretty well, too. Place was clean, great prices, and the service was very good. This is definitely a go-to place for us now. Edit: Also, I just read a 2 star review for this place that said "watered down salsa", that's not true at all. One salsa is mild and it's a thicker tomato sauce, just a hint of cilantro, the hot one is more of a loose Pico de Gallo with jalapenos chopped in it,...
