My grandmother and I travel to different restaurants for breakfast every Sunday so I can speak with confidence that this is worth the visit. Starting with the handicap accessible entrance, the newly remodeled dining area is spacious and modern looking, and comfortable leather padded booths gives a welcoming environment with upbeat music playing. Then a friendly waitress, Kaley, took our order promptly and brought us delicious coffee. They offer French vanilla creamers which I think is important. The food was a good portion size, delicious, and affordable. We had a farmers omelet with French toast, 2 eggs with corned beef hash, pancakes and 2 coffees for only $28. Other important factors: the restroom had a huge handicap stall, it was comfortably warm, and the door was not heavy to open while pushing with a walker. (It could use some music playing in the restroom to really bring the experience to the next level) I will definitely be coming back and...
Read moreThe Red Apple Cafe is the best place to go when you’re starving and wanting to scarf down some good eats!! The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is like no other, and the food is incredible! The location is perfect for all those who live in Hartford and within the cities close by! The hours are awesome, where they are open most holidays, so you don’t have to worry about cooking for multiple family members! They offer SO MANY options of entrees and appetizers, so you’ll never be out of choice when picking what to eat! The employees are some of the best people you’ll meet, where they cater to your every need and make sure your time there is memorable. The cafe has a nice home feel the second you walk in the door, where you could spend alllllllll day there whether it’s for the food or to chat with the folks who work there or stop in. With that being said, I’ll never go to another cafe in Hartford!!! 🫶🏼...
Read moreI am so terribly disappointed. My family and I have eaten here many times with decent food and decent service. Today we walked in just before noon and headed towards a table (every time we have been here we've been told to seat ourselves). An older waitress told us not to sit and we'd have to wait. We tuetur around and headed back to the register. We couldn't get beyond the register as there were 5-6 people paying and a couple chatting. This same waitress comes back and scolds us again to move out of the way and sit down. We asked all those people if they were waiting to eat, none of them were. Mind you, I could see 4 available tables to sit at. Then the younger waitress came to ask us to move (we had no where to move to because of the volume of people in front of the door.) We walked out, possibly will never return. All she had to do was let us sit at the empty table we were heading for, we wouldn't have minded waiting. I think they've just lost a pretty...
