Here is my experience at this restaurant server name Mayelli â Mayeâ before I forget 20% Tip included ; itâs nice inside has a nice little corner view, when we arrived there was nobody at all not even to welcome us, we sat down the server came and asked us for drinks and wasnât welcoming at all, to be honest it was very ratchet her treatment, she jumped from one person to another while still ordering drinks with one, they didnât have Chicha morada really? No Diet Coke no Coke Zero, honestly I felt like leaving but I had my mother and father were there so I didnât want to be rude, then she asked if âif we wanted cancha â this is a standard in every Peruvian restaurant she came with two plates of cancha and a green cream But no little plates to for us serve the cancha, No spoons I was still trying to give it a chance with the food, when the food arrive it looked Okay not bad looking But the taste was a good 6/10 not even average beef I ordered medium it was over burned, for my tallarĂn verde and anticucho, I wanted to order lomo and something else but I was to scare to order at the beginning i am Peruvian flight attendant I fly around the world and try many Peruvians around the world every week; I tried Cora Cora restaurant in Hartford before but has gotten worse and worst over the years but to be honest this one restaurant was worse than Cora Cora Unfortunately there is no more good restaurants here in this part of Connecticut this was my first time and last unfortunately they lost all my business and wouldnât recommend to anyone to come if itâs your first ti e because i wouldnât like to have a bad experience about my Peruvian food.
Read moreWe had dinner with my family and they were quick to serve us the menu and get our drink order. But then we saw that it kept taking longer to get our food and two other tables with only two people had their food first. Personally I would serve the table that has more since I always give a 20% tip. But we ended up waiting over an hour for our food and one platter they had forgotten and didnât give a valid excuse for it. The bigger the party the worse your experience. And it seemed like they knew some people there and were more catering. This was our first and last time we will be here. Iâve been to a lot of Peruvian restaurants with my wife who is Peruvian and she says and I agree with her there are other better Peruvian restaurants with better food and service. I do think they are short staff. Also, slow service very slow. And half the time they would say be right back but it would be ten...
Read moreWhat a beautiful restaurant- such beautiful decor and tables beautifully set with red roses and linens and Peruvian music playing. During Covid times, we ordered our meals in person to take out. How dearly I wanted to enjoy our meals in such a lovely setting. Staff were gracious and kind. We ordered the ceviche and one beef dish and a linguine with mussels and octopus. Oh my goodness! The food was exquisite. The portions were enormous. We probably could have split a plate as it was a lunch order- but in todayâs times we feel itâs better to support businesses as fully as we can, when we can. Iâve never enjoyed Peruvian food before- and it was such a beautiful taste sensation, Iâm so happy to have tried something new to us. I look forward to returning and experiencing this lovely restaurant at a proper table hopefully not to far...
