Belding Theater — Attraction in Hartford

most seats in the hall have a decent view, but like most older theaters, the seats are very narrow and you can find yourself feeling like you're sitting on the laps of the folks next to you. recently went to my first show in a long while and the security guard was rude to me when I didn't know I didn't have to take my keys and out of my pockets to pass around the gate. there was no line behind me, sorry, but I don't go places with security gates often except the airport, so I thought the rules were the same, and explaining calmly what you need me to do is more effective than grunting angrily at me. some signage would be helpful if security doesn't want to explain procedures. but aside from that, a...

This place is outstanding! It's Beautiful no matter what direction you go in once inside. One will tell you that you could easily get lost I'm sure. I went with my son to a field trip as a chaperone and I'm so happy the teacher offered me the chance to go. The ceilings are so beautifully painted its like a place you would see in a movie. Came in from out of town for a show, and got there a little early as we wanted to get good parking. Was sadly disappointed with the limited dining options that they offer and It was too cold to walk to any restaurants. The Belding Cafe was NOT what I was expecting and I was sadly disappointed:( I would suggest everyone arrive early and find dinning in the area prior to parking for the show.
