Mediterranean Gastronomy at its finest! If we could give 10 stars we would! My husband and I ate lunch here today and it was the most amazing experience! The food is so fresh! After you are seated, the most delicious pita bread is delivered to your table piping hot out of a fiery oven paired with an addictive, smooth, melt-in-your-mouth garlic dip that had us hooked after our first bite! The hummus was creamy and amazing. We ordered the Shish Tawook which is chicken breast kabob, and definitely go for the lemon oregano option, its worth the 50 cents extra! The fattoush salad was best in class, and the fresh juices TOO good--hard to stop after just one. (Okay, we had 2 each, but who's counting?) Try their homemade lemonade, it's made with fresh lemon and orange juices blended with ice. A healthy Icee?! I am getting thirsty again just typing this review. Good thing I don't live nearby or I'd stop off for one of those lemonades every day! Bought a fresh beet and carrot juice to go as they sell any of their fresh juices (or combination of their juices) in quart sized made-to-order "to go" bottles. Apologies for the lack of photo proof, we were so enthusiastic about the food and tasting everything that we forgot we even had phones!
For those that appreciate stellar customer experiences, the owner, Abul, makes you feel at-home and completely welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. The warmth and genuine passion and caring is palpable! Hannah, our server, was attentive, helpful, cheerful, and honestly, the energy of the entire place was bubbling with positive attitudes. If you need a pick-me-up, stop by! You can't leave this place without a smile! And if you don't know what you're in the mood for, Abul is wonderful at suggesting food and/or drink options depending on your preferences. Life is too short not to experience neighborhood gems like La Marsa Harland. Just go! You...
Read moreFirst time here and I was suspicious as I walked in The parking lot was empty at 7pm on a Saturday. We walked in and found the restaurant to be small and empty. The server was extremely kind, soft spoken, and attentive. We told him it's our first time and we just wanted to try a variety. We got the sampler platter and was awed by the amount of food and quality. The food was absolutely delights and thr addition of complimentary WARM bread and garlic sauce was beautiful. The falafel was undercooked (almost like a watery paste), but we asked if that's normal and he took them and refried new ones immediately. It was nice to see they actually fry it to order. Everything seemed cooked legitimately to order vs a warm up from being cooked earlier. The owner gave us 2 small pieces of baklava at the end (not sure if it's the usual, but it was well received). It was nice to see an owner who walks by ans verifies meal integrity. Oh, and about that empty restaurant? There was probably 15 to 20 pickup orders while we ate. I guess the usual customers just do pickup. Don't let the calmness fool you, this is...
Read moreWe dined at this new La Marsa Hartland location today. The friendly staff, clean environment and efficient service was equal to the other locations of La Marsa's growing number of restaurants. However, we found that our dinners tasted much better! How was that even possible? Per Abdul, the manager, he has gifted with dedicated cooks who cook like "mama" at home. My partner had the chicken ghallaba and a salad. Her vegetables were sautéed to perfection and the sauce and spices balanced with a hint of fresh lemon. Her salad, of huge proportion, was crispy and the house dressing light and flavorful. My chicken vegetable soup was balanced with flavors and gratefully not over salted. I had the meat shish kafta sandwich which never disappoints me. Hannah our server was efficient and engaged us with smiles and friendly...
