NOT THE WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER!!! I have been a customer of Mexican Fiesta for more than 50 years. A couple weeks ago, I ordered carry-out of grilled vegetable enchiladas with no green peppers or zucchini, which is my typical order. When I got it home, there was zucchini. I called the restaurant immediately & reported the problem. She told me I could return & they would prepare it correctly. I told her that I was too far away to return. She said she would give me "a credit" for the meal that I could use next time. I assumed she would give me credit for the price of the meal. I threw out the enchiladas. I tried to eat the rice & beans, but the beans had a very offsetting taste & I had to throw them out also. I have been eating beans from this restaurant for many years & never experienced that. Generally their food is very consistent. I was very disappointed that day. I returned today for a carry out of cheese enchiladas with rice & cole slaw as I feared trying the beans again. I requested to use my credit plus a return of $2 since this order was $2 less than the previous order. They refused to give me $2. They said the credit was for the meal, not the price. If I buy a piece of clothing that does not work out, I get a refund or credit for the price of the clothing. I am not obliged to buy the exact same clothing again. Three different people spoke to me & all refused to budge on the price difference. Finally the cook (of the original wrongly prepared vegetable enchiladas, which he admitted making) offered to give me a $2 credit toward future meal. He refused to give me $2. What the Hell!! What kind of customer service is that? Just give me the $2. If I were the proprietor, I would have given me any meal I wanted to cover the previous screw up. After 50 years of being a customer, I don't know if I want to go back because of the attitude. It is very disappointing. Restaurants complained about the way they are sometimes treated poorly by customers. In this case, customer was treated poorly by...
Read moreHello reader, I hope you have a swell day. This restaurant serves terrible food and I do not recommend you go, I'll describe the food at the end. Hartland does not have many places to eat. There is a Coney Island, Blackrock, and Mexican fiesta. None of them are excellent. Leo's Coney Island is better than this place if you're looking for a bite to eat. Blackrock charges 16 dollars for fish and chips.
This Restaurant is quite unkempt. It's staffed by high schoolers who really don't care enough to make it a nice place to be. Nothing is fresh, despite what their paid reviewers will say. The best example of how little this restaurant cares is their salsa. It's served to every customer, yet every customer gets a greasy container with a thumb button, and when you press the button and try to pour, the salsa does not come out. It would only take one manager one minute of trying out their own restaurant to immediately realize it is a frustrating and uncleanly experience.
Everything here is low quality. Especially the food. Their burritos and their fajitas are actually the same thing, I will refer to them as logs to ease confusion. You can order a log with cheese, or a log with sauce. The logs are made of a very unpalatable dough, it's unfortunate. I cannot describe why, it's just gross, it's probably very, very cheap.
The cheese is essentially Kraft shreds, melted on top. The sauce is fine. However sauce is a condiment. Do not go here.
The filling for their logs is bad. Low quality freezer chicken shreds from wal-mart bad. Because that's what it is.
Don't get your hopes up about bean or rice fillings, or bean or rice sides, (they taste the same). They are bland and cooked poorly. This food is garbage.
However, if you are just looking for a place to eat and are in the mood for mexican, go here, it's not disgusting,...
Read moreWe had to go here as a backup because the cook your own steak place had a major wait time. We have heard good things about the Fiesta before. We were pretty surprised to see it completely staffed by what appeared to be older high school/young college students. Salsa was typical fare no real complaints, but it should be thicker as it runs off the chips quickly, but it was nice to be given a spicy and mild together. They have a poor draft selection but not unusual for a Mexican restaurant.
We ordered Fajitas for two. Honestly, the meat and portions were excellent. Real large and tender steak strips, large pieces of nicely cooked chicken, and large well cooked non-fishy shrimp. Was really surprised at the quality of the meat. It isn't quite as heavily salted and seasoned as some of the other surrounding Mexican restaurants which can be good and bad depending on your style.
They probably should consider adding Chorizo to their Fajitas as it really brings them to another level. The guacamole service size was very good for two people.
The rice and beans were pretty much standard fare so.. I can't really say I have been impressed with the rice and beans at ANY Mexican restaurant.
One thing to note and I didn't take the time to ask the servers but there were no carnitas listed on the menu. Always a disappointment as I prefer to try the pork carnitas at almost every Mexican place to determine how good they are at actual cooking.
Overall good experience. My wife and I do not eat out on weekends so on a Tuesday we were sat, ordered, and had food arrive in 20 minutes. So a...
