Lucky Buffet — Restaurant in Hartselle

Let me say. I live in SoCal. I’m from Decatur and went back home for thanksgiving. We went to eat here and unfortunately I’d had just eaten a biscuit at home so I wasn’t too hungry. But I’ve been to many restaurants here in La and Orange County and I can’t find one to compare to Lucky. And the price was amazing. We all 3 ate for what one would eat at a comparable place here. I had lunch here recently and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The place was very clean. While they did not have as many offerings as some of the gigantic buffets in bigger towns, they did have a good selection of main courses, sides, a large salad bar, steamed shrimp, and even sushi rolls. Crab rangoon...nearly empty. Egg rolls and spring rolls nearly empty of content. Beef and chicken are stringy. Chick on a stick...dry and tough. Egg drop soup is good though. Shrimp...pick it put from the vat. Same with chicken and beef. Not much to select from. They use to have the best sirloin tips..they are gone. Several of the meats (beef and chicken) are severely over breaded. We need a new buffet...
