Amigos/Kings Classic — Restaurant in Hastings

I don't write reviews, this is my first one ,but my experiences at Amigos has been so horrible, that I can't not leave a review, not so much the service the people are nice but the FOOD, and I love amigos so I keep telling myself "oh it was just a bad day to go" ( as I get it used to work fast food ) sometimes the people cooking don't know what they are doing, or it was a busy night .Then I thought maybe I'm being picky as I used to work there for 5 years so I know how it should taste or be made. ..... So I keep going back thinking they got it sorted out, but I can say after a dozen times of awful food I can't make any more excuses for the placed I used to love. I have a hand full of complaint but I'll just list a few. I got a nacho once the chips were so stale they were hard as bricks, I asked for no tomatos (was ran up right on the receipt) . The meat is not the same at all. Taco grease dripping from the tacos ,and don't even get me started one the soft tacos . Last night I ordered 2 cheesey ( which everyone knows how amazing cheesey dipped in ranch is ) asked for a total of 6 ranch's and spicy sauce. Got home realized I got 6 spicys and 1ranch. Called as I was charged 3 dollars for all the ranch I didn't get . They wanted me to come back and I said no as my food will be cold by the time I get back to eat ..... As I live on the other side of town. They had to look up my order to make sure I infact order them ( which I get people used to call and lie) so by the time she looked it up and got my information, I went to go eat my food without my ranch 😐 and my Mexi Fry's and my son's french Fry's were ice cold and so soggy. My son proceeded to tell my" they were like that when I took them out of the bag when you were on the phone". It's just so sad how the quality of the food has completely went down , Everytime I drive by its NEVER busy. Everyone...

Made a special trip to Hastings Nebraska to see the Kool-Aid exhibit at the Hastings museum. A friend of mine said that I absolutely had to try amigos for their food. So that's where we went. Upon arriving I found the dining room was closed. Well, that's okay I'll go through the drive-through. Ordered a taco meal, a couple of extra burritos, and a salad. The drive-thru wasn't particularly quick but that's okay if they're preparing the food fresh. We decided we go to a nearby park to actually eat. And there we found that the burritos were in the bag, tater tots were in the bag, and of course we had the salad. What we did not have were any tacos. Unfortunately that happened to be my meal. So I had a lovely lunch in the park consisting of tater tots and the drink. I can't even say the tater tots were that good. They're a little underdone as far as I was concerned. And I suppose I could have driven all the way back and gone through the drive-thru to say that my tacos weren't there. But then I also realized I had not been given a receipt either. As for whether they're Mexican food is any good or not I guess I will never know. I do know I won't go back there. How can you possibly take an order for a taco meal and...

Update- 10/27/24. Stopped again after 4 years food is ok. I ordered the SW Chicken roll up again. I asked the teller if it is grilled. She said yes. Got the roll up. Yea it was not grilled. There was maybe a tablespoon worth the ranch. I guessing at this as you definitely cannot taste any. I opened and there was a white substance on the tortilla shell. Anyway the flavor of the roll up was at best. Ok It just wasn't bad enough to justify throwing away a $6 burrito Got 2 sw chicken grilled roll ups and theirvis supposed to be ranch! I called and asked. The guy said. I was the one that made them amd I put ranch on it. Well. I sure don't see any. Just cheese. Its just dry and almost takes a drink of water to swallow I have been getting these here for the past 20 years and never in my life has it been like this I hope they see this
