It's so wonderful to have such a wonderful, independent coffeehouse in Hastings! Conveniently located, right across the street from City Hall with plenty of street and rear parking. As soon as you walk up the front steps of the historic home turned coffeehouse, the delicious aroma of coffee beans and café food being made welcomes you right through the front door. Their menu is both familiar and unique, with many twists of their own interpretations on classics. After trying just about everything on their menu, since they have been open, I can say with certainty: Everything is absolutely mouthwatering and delicious - you can't go wrong with any of your choices! Ps. Make sure to enjoy one of their coffee flights, they're adorable and a wonderful way to sample drinks, in order to find your very favorite! They offer plenty of cozy seating options, both on the main level, as well as a full upstairs. The decor is charming and gives off a historical shabby chic feel. This establishment is a favorite of the town, and is frequently busy. Being busy, at times isn't a problem, as their friendly staff work diligently with a quick pace, to get everyone their drinks and food in a very timely fashion. A favorite with our entire family and a true gem in Historic Hastings, not...
Read moreMy husband and I used to live in the area and frequently drive out (from Bloomington) to revisit our favorite spots. After seeing that Froth & Cork has 5 stars and over 100 reviews - we HAD to switch it up and give them a shot. They did not disappoint at all! The toasties were so tasty, the iced coffee flight was a brilliant touch, and the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday day-date.
Of the coffee flight - we both loved the Spiral Mocha and the cold press (the cold foam was perfect). The chai was also tasty though I usually like my chai a bit spicier. My husband really liked the Hopscotch too (it’s sweeter so not my fave, but still very yummy).
My husband asked an employee a little more about the history of the building and we were handed a really awesome scrapbook to flip through about the history of the building, built in the late 1800s, that has served as a residence, apartment building, a hair salon, and now one of the best coffee shops we’ve been to locally!
I just wish this was up the street from our house so we could visit...
Read moreAlways a great time when I visit Froth, I would say I swing in at least once a month, if not more. The staff are always friendly, and seem to have a good rapport with each other and with regulars, which makes coming in fun. The inside is also a fun vibe, I especially like the upstairs. The food is good, both pastries and hot "toastie" sandwiches, and food and drinks come pretty quickly. There is only one kitchen station, so if it's very busy it can sometimes be a few minutes, but still typically under 10, usually more like 5, for food, but it's nice knowing the sandwich is made fresh in front of me, and hadn't just been sitting under a heat lamp. I love the "coffee flights" they do, with a different set of 4 small drinks each month, it's fun to bring someone and be able to try a little of several different drinks together. The other specialty drinks are also a lot of fun to play with, and have...
