Imperial Garden Express — Restaurant in Hastings

The food used to be better. I had the General Tso chicken, because I usually have been getting it from Joe's lately. I used to always get the Sesame Chicken or shrimp fried rice. It surely had to be just as good here. I was wrong. There were some strange peppers in there that burned my mouth real bad and the chicken had weird, almost oily tastes in one of them--like a metal flavor in your mouth. The rice was completely dry and had zero flavor, so I would no longer recommend the shrimp fried rice, either. The crab rangoons only came in a pack of 3 and were very small. The building isn't as clean anymore, either, but the guy who took my order was nice. The Imperial Garden Express that used to be at the Grand Island Mall was the best one around, but now it's gone. For now, I'd rather eat at Joe's China because their rice has flavor and oils and better chicken. Their crab rangoons come in a 6 pack. We just saw your now on door dash and ordered and loved it. I am not able to get out much so being on dash makes me finally able to try your food again. Ordered the curry chicken and it was a lovely mild curry that was delicious. My son ordered the cashew chicken and it had a generous two handful of cashews great flavors and he said that was best Chinese food he has had. I used to go to your competitor for my Chinese takeout but I think you are now hands down favorite and plan ordering again something different today and prob many times in future. DON'T EAT HERE!!!!!!! I don't write many reviews, but my experience with this food was so bad I couldn't not say something. I got the beef and broccoli and the beef tasted like month old roast beef that someone got from a dumpster. Probably the worst tasting thing I've ever had in my mouth. The crab Rangoon is apparently imitation crab and tastes something like burn rubber and plastic. The rice was about as hard as trying to eat sand, and there was absolutely no sauce on my meal.
