I applaud the cause and have been a good customer since moving here. My son received a coupon from his elementary school on his last day of fifth grade because of a downpour and the truck needing to leave. He was told he could use it anytime. Well he tried today. Had his coupon, went to the cashier (presumably the owner) and she said it had to be within two months (his last day of school was May 21st so technically within her two month time frame) and she literally yanked his cone away and threw it away. So she preferred to waste food then let a kid celebrate his advancement to middle school. I went in there to ask about it and she said “oh” when I pointed out that we were within her identified timeframe and then made the excuse that the school already paid the bill. When asked shouldn’t she honor the coupon then, she said no. It just seems wild to me that a cone was refused and thrown away rather than letting a kid have it. Oh well, business lost...

Completely decided to support this business for helping the special needs. Something that we believe strongly in. We ordered a shake, a malt and a float. There was only two ladies waiting for their order, as a dad and daughter behind us. We waited approximately 30 minutes for my son's malt and my wife's float. Both of those cups were half full, and they hadn't even started my shake yet. I thanked them and tild them we had to leave. They said okay and walked away. I hope everyone supports this business still. My suggestion would be to drop a five in the donation jar and go get a ice cream somewhere else. Wonderful concept, but we're better off teaching these individuals how to "properly" run a business. This should not be a novelty. This should be a great learning experience for all the employee's. Update: The owner made sure her employees understood ADA rights and we were able to go in, although the cashier prohibited my child with the dog from approaching the counter, and attempted to ask for his papers. Anyway, the ice cream was delicious, and the young man behind the ice cream was extremely friendly.
