This was our first visit to El Limon. It could have been worse, it could have been better. [Note: we realize that they're shorthanded right now, and I'm trying to be fair and take that into account]
The chips and salsa appetizer was good. The chips were tasty and had an interesting texture. The salsa fresca was tasty, but the quantity was miniscule. And when we asked for more salsa, they charged us $1.95. C'mon, it's salsa fresca, people. It's practically free.
Our main courses were tasty, hot, and fresh. The beef was slightly tough and dry, but not that bad really. My companion had water to drink; I had unsweetened iced tea (a glassful that was mostly ice). When I asked for a refill, they charged me $2.00 for it. C'mon, it's iced tea. It's practically free. Other restaurants are more liberal with refills.
Service was adequate— not negligent and not super attentive. The restaurant was not very busy during our time there (a Thursday evening).
Overall, I'd rate it a C. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great. We may come back to try again another day, but for now, we'd rate it below La Morena...
Read moreIt was my mothers 60th birthday. We drove a long way to check this spot out because we heard good things. We spent about $30 dollars on food. When I get there I ask to use the restroom. And they acted weird about it. So I explained that we drove 45 minutes. My mother was waiting outside and when I came out, she needed to use the restroom as well. She happened to tell me that they acted really weird about it, and I said the same thing happened to me. No one was wearing masks, so it wasn’t Covid that they were worried about. Not the experience we were expecting to get. Im 22 and have been working in retail / service since I was 15. I can say, this was very disappointing. Will not be coming back. They didn’t really give us any reason too.
Wasn’t like the food was fantastic that I would wanna get the same thing again. And it wasn’t that their customer service was so spot that I would be willing to try another dish or come back.

Read moreAfter years of patronage I am officially done giving this dump my business. Food quality down in the last few months, service quality WAY DOWN and prices way up. I have given them many chances to regain my trust but they continue to be a disappointment. There are too many place giving better food for less money and showing gratitude for the support. They made their bed! I have to assume it’s a case of too many locations way too fast. Good luck maintaining and loyal business with service like you offer and lack luster food with tiny portions… “out of business”...
