Pepper Pot — Restaurant in Hatch

I put a picture of the entrance because it is all I saw of this establishment besides the very rude waitstaff. I waited out on the patio with 2 pups to see if they had availability serve us. My partner disappears for about 15 mins while he was ignored in hallway. Another party comes in and is seated even though they arrived after. ?? Then he asks if we are supposed to seat ourselves and the waitress tells him to go sit on patio and MAYBE someone will come out. So…we are supposed to sit out there and wait in the hope that someone MIGHT bring us food after waiting already for 15 mins in hall? I asked the waitress the reason for this treatment and she replied that they “were slammed” and then walked away while I was talking to her. She told me the manager wasn’t there either (which probably wasn’t true). But if the owner reads this, you should staff your restaurant better or fire your terrible employees. Extremely disappointed!!! I've been here before and the food is good. However, me and my family stopped there on 3/17/22 at 1:45 only to be told by the waitress that they were closed. I explained to her that we came from San Diego, CA on our way to Texas and made it a point to stop there. All she could say was "I'm sorry but the grill is already off." To the owner, you advertise that your hours are 6:00 - 2:00 but shut your kitchen down before that time. Why bother posting hours? If you are shutting down early so that you and your staff can leave by 2:00 then maybe you should advertise an earlier closing time so that people don't waste fuel and time traveling there. Also, don't post take out from 6:00 - 3:00 if that's not the case. The same waitress looked at me like I had lobsters coming out of my ears because I asked about ordering something to go. Service for 5, I ordered the steak and enchilada plate. Everyone but me was served in a timely manner. The waitress became aware and went to the kitchen to find out what had happened to my order. She returned an told me that it was coming. Well, it hadn't, another long wait, I assumed they were cooking a fresh plate. Nope, when I finally received my order, visually it was beautiful, the steak was thick and large, cut into.it and it tasted well seasoned but it was cold, I tasted the beans and they were cold and I could tast the can. So, last time for me, everyone I know has been told not to waste your time with the Pepper Pot in Hatch, NM I also asked for a tea refill but I didn't get that either.
