Lansdale Meats & Deli — Restaurant in Hatfield Township

I was very excited to find catering for my sons’s graduation party at a reasonable price. However, I was extremely disappointed when I picked up my order on the way to the party location. The roasted potatoes and chicken fingers that I ordered were ice cold. I didn’t have time to complain at the time so I just paid and left with my items. When I called a few days later the person I spoke to told me that the website says the items are delivered as “heat and eat”. It says NOTHING on the website to that effect. It gives no indication that the items will not be hot. I expected that when I ordered hot food to be catered, that it would be hot when I picked it up at the specific time I indicated to pick up the order. Since I ordered online, I had even called the day before to confirm my order and time. No one told me at that time that the food would be cold. If I had known, I would have picked it up at earlier to allow time to take it home and heat it before going to the party. When I explained this to the person on the phone, he asked what I wanted. When I asked for a refund because I didn’t get what I had expected, he hung up on me! Maybe I wouldn’t have gotten a refund but a $20 off my next purchase coupon as service recovery or even an apology could have prevented this poor review. Sadly, they just lost a customer, because of their rude behavior. Had they been more considerate of their error, I likely would have used them again in the future as the rest of the food that I had ordered (cold items)...

My family and I enjoy the sales and great prices here. Been coming for countless years. I would give a 5 star rating, but not a single person in this place seems like they truly enjoy working here. I work in customer service, so out of habit, I'll smile at an employee if they walk passed me, and they just stare at me. The people behind the deli are very robotic. And the cashiers are just as frumpy looking. Don't even greet you. They just grab your stuff, scan it, ask for debit or credit. That's it. Doesn't even thank me for bagging, or say have a nice day, or anything. Maybe if the employees smiled at their customers, a 5 star rating would have been appropriate, but not this time. It's taken a while to post this review because I was hoping that one day, just one day, they will prove me wrong, but not at all, and I frequent this place weekly, to every other week. All I ask is that you guys smile at your customers every once and a while, and just try to make it seems like you're happy to be there, and that I'm not bothering you by asking for some meat...

Lansdale Meats is my favorite local spot. We usually use them for regular shopping and trays for parties, but we recently used their catering services for my wedding. We did do a "taste test" prior to placing our order since most of their dishes are available pre-made for a quick meal to grab! Not only was I completely happy with how everything turned out, but I have a feeling our guests will become patrons since so many asked where the delicious food was from! Also, I'm a HUGE fan of their home made tuna salad :) If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Lansdale Meats and Deli - they really do have a wonderful selection & everyone is always a pleasure...
