Compadres Taqueria & Grill — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

The time before last I was there to buy some food to cook (chicken, veggies) I waited to be checked out for 10 minutes as the cashier was having fun with 2 guys. I kept looking at her; another person told her I was waiting and even let me go before him. I just got back from there. I stood there by the meat section looking for service. I wanted to purchase some more meat and veggies. A woman in the kitchen was looking at me off and on, but didn’t bother to help. Even a man that was in the kitchen asked her to help me! Nope. Nothing. I waited, but finally left. Without any food. Nobody would serve me. After waiting for few minutes again, I finally just left. Also, every time I was there, I saw these people that work there cater to Spanish speaking people. I was overlooked, had to wait for service much longer than any other Latino descent...

This is not my first trip to Compardres & it will not be my last. The reason for only 4 stars is strictly due to pricing as they are noticeably more expensive than most of their competition, so we only stop in for a snack as opposed to being regulars. The quality of the food is always good as is the service. Their Mexican Tacos are the reason I stop in there and tge fact that they have a Hot Sauce that is actually Hot, and the latter is the biggest reason that I will continue to stop in at Compardres, as most places Hot Sauce isn't even warm. So I would suggest that if you like to season your food with a really good flavored, truly Hot, Hot Sauce, then swing by Compardres.

We were given the smallest serving of fajitas that I have ever seen for the price. Then, the lady charged my credit card more than she was supposed to. She said that once you got more than two drinks, you had to pay for another drink so I paid $2.50 for my sweet tea and then she added in another $2.75 for my to-go glass of sweet tea. My family all got drinks at $2.50 each. I was told she would charge another $2.75 if they got another refill. I've never heard of that and it was not listed anywhere so I tried to complain to a manager and they sent me back to her because the owner was not there. I have every intention of filing a better Business bureau complaint over the almost $50 put on my credit card that I knew...
