K & J Subs and Seafood — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

I ordered online… Their online system isn’t the best but I selected a peach lemonade and my chicken philly with NO sauces… The total was $17.25.. I get inside, she decides to add 3 more dollars for the drink! Okay cool. I paid for peaches online, but apparently there was no drink selected! I go back outside to get $.45 cents to pay with my $20.00! I come back, she’s added another dollar to the total! The new total was $21.45… I refused to pay the extra dollar because before I walked out, she confirmed $20.45.. I walk back in and you added something to make the total $21.45 now!! It’s the principal! All she had to do was charge me the difference of a combo! Then I was about to walk out but I checked my food! I clearly said NO MAYO and NO KJ sauce! She wanted to argue with me about the “no sauce”! She rechecked the receipt and saw it was an error on her behalf! Bottom line, I will not be back! For the confusion and price, I can go elsewhere! We ordered a healthy sampling of their offerings since this was our first visit. We had the Cajun fries, cheese and bacon fries, seafood egg rolls, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, spring egg rolls, surf-n-turf Philly, and the wings in sweet red chili sauce.

The Cajun fries were the best fries I've had in a long time. Crispy with great flavor and hot. The Cheese and bacon fries were good but it wasn't our style. A little soft for our liking. The egg rolls were all absolutely stuffed. The seafood egg roll was light and smooth with a perfectly crisp outer shell. No strong "fish"smells. Just a mild blend of seafoods.

The surf and turf Philly was creamy, spicy, and absolutely loaded. The bread was traditional po boy bread. Crisp and flaky. The filling was a blend of perfectly cooked shrimp and Philly cheesesteak with jalapeños, peppers and mushrooms.

The wings were the best I've ever had. Crispy outside, cooked just right and the sweet red chili sauce was dynamite! We ended up dipping just about everything in that sauce.

We will return...

I'd have given five stars if the food weren't so spicy that my husband couldn't eat it. I loved the flavor of the Crawfish cheesesteak. However, the digital menu in the restaurant no longer displays the crawfish sandwich, the woman who took our order did not tell us that it would be spicy, and it was so spicy that it made my nose run. My husband just ate the fries as his meal. If you like spicy food, however, it's a great sandwich. Also, the woman who took our order and brought us our food did not greet us, smile, or say anything beyond what was necessary to take our order and deliver our food.
