We ordered a beignet latte (hot), strawberry lemonade, and mo'bay mocha. All of the drinks were fantastic! The latte was good, not too sweet. The lemonade seemed old fashioned- in all of the best ways. It was tart but not sour, and you could taste the strawberry AND lemon. I know this sounds obvious but imo most of the time you only taste sweet strawberry and hardly any bite from the citrus of the lemon. The mo'bay mocha was also great- if you enjoy chocolate coffee- this is your drink!
We also ordered the mini beignets, which I was a little skeptical at first. They were surprisingly delicious and perfect in size. In fact, we enjoyed them so much that we went back to order more.
This little coffee shop is a gem! It's relaxed and inviting and so far from the typical, pretentious coffee shops that seem to be popping up like weeds.
We will definitely be making this a regular stop when we come to...
Read moreStopped by to get coffee and wanted to try 1 beignet from here to see if they would pass the test for a large event I am in charge of organizing. I asked the young lady behind the counter for 1 beignet and coffee. She said should not do 1 beignet but I could get 8 mini beignet's. Well clearly if I don't want 3 beignet's, I sure don't want 8 mini beignet's. "Sorry", she said with a smile. I am on a VERY strict diet and absolutely cannot eat 3 beignets in an order. I just wanted one to test out for the event I am organizing. I guess I could have paid the $5 for 3, tried one and thrown or gave the other 2 away. I left and won't be back. Their loss for future business. As a business owner, I would NEVER let a customer walk out the door like that. That cashier certainly does not care about...
Read moreWe made an early morning trip for beignets and was disappointed in both the beignets and the coffee. We selected the 8 beignets and found them quite small, very thick, and very chewy (rubbery). My experience is most beignets are usually larger and airy, not small and chewy. I ordered a large Cafe au Lait and was expecting a traditional cup of coffee - meaning a chicory blend and hot milk that one expects to find at a beignet cafe. A second disappointment. No refills were available for a $5+ cup of so-so coffee. The milk carafe was there but empty and the chicory labelled carafe did not have any chicory coffee in it. Not...
