Checkers — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

To say I am dissatisfied with this restaurant is an understatement. In the past few days, I have ordered from this restaurant twice, both times through doordash. Both orders are very similar, with some slight alterations.

The first order was two spicy chicken sandwiches, one as a combo with large fries and a cherry coke. What I received was a blatant attempt to cut corners, either on the part of the owner attempting to cut costs by instructing the crew to limit ingredients or by the night crew's incompetence or laziness. One chicken sandwich had a small amount of mayo, a small sliver of melted cheese, a tiny leaf of lettuce, and no tomatoes. The second chicken sandwich was just chicken and bread, no sauce, no vegetables, no cheese. The large fries were only half-filled, thus making them a complete rip-off, as I could have ordered a small and received the same amount.

The second order was similar to the first; however, I ordered a chocolate milkshake with caramel and fudge. Instead of ordering a combo, I ordered the sandwiches by themselves and ordered their "XL" fries, which come in what looks like a large drink cup. Now I'll be honest, I ordered this with the intent of testing to see what would happen, and sure enough, they failed my test. The fry cup was halfway filled, maybe, with the amount you would expect to be put in their regular large fries. Yet I paid 6 dollars for it! Oh, but it gets worse, the chocolate milkshake I ordered, I never received. They were out, and while I substituted for a cherry-coke, I still paid the $6.95 for the shake I didn't receive. Worse yet, This time, NEITHER of the sandwiches had vegetables! NO Lettuce, NO Tomato, one had mayo and cheese, the other chicken and bread again!

I effectively paid a whopping $26.03 (with delivery charges) for a meal that a $2 can of soup could have easily outdone! But do you know what the saddest part about this whole situation is? The ingredients are top-notch, lol! The few they put in are good. This means that all they would have to do is provide the PROPER amount of ingredients for their meals. If the sandwich is supposed to have lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese, etc. PUT IT ON THE DAMN SANDWICH! More importantly, PUT THE PROPER AMOUNT ON IT! If a customer orders large fries, GIVE THEM LARGE FRIES!

Considering the other potential options, I am provided within Hattiesburg; I would be better off spending my money elsewhere. Frankly, I feel so cheated by Checkers, and I will never waste my money at another one of their restaurants again. I will ensure to notify all my friends and family to do the same. In your attempt to cut costs, you have screwed over your customers, and as a consequence, lost several. CHECKERS ISN'T THE ONLY BURGER JOINT IN HATTIESBURG! DON'T FORGET THAT! BECAUSE YOUR...

We ordered on mobile app ahead. Set a scheduled time for pick up 15 minutes out do to traffic. We arrived and walked up to window because we planned to eat at the tables outside. We stood for a while with no one opening the window. Finally after about 7 minutes the young lady opened the window and asked if we were picking up and we advised we were. The guy inside chimed in and advised it “gonna be a while” and we asked why because we ordered in advance and he began getting upset and was slamming things around as he was preparing food. They served a couple drive through customers start to finish and finally gave us food at the mark of over 30 minutes of waiting. The fries were no longer even warm. I went back up and asked for hot fries. The young lady was visibly irritated with the request. She didn’t even fill up the extra large fries to 2/3 full. My wife advised me the burgers were cold except for the one we watched them make last. The others set wrapped the entire time we waited. I asked that they make it right and asked for management contact and she advised she was new and didnt know. I asked her to check with the guy and he came out and started arguing through the window. When she opened the window he kept saying have a nice day and was ignoring my request. I asked for management contact he advised and all be knew was he worked for checkers. I asked for his name and he advised he was not telling me. This was around 12:30 cst on april 7, 2024. I would like to be contacted. Checkers/Rallys is my favorite fast food place. This location is terrible. We watched other walk up customer leave after 10 minutes from not be served. They only had two total drive through customers...

The app says pickup at any window. Not true. At the drive through the guy said I'd have to go through the pickup lane. Waited in the drive thu to circle back around. At the pickup window he couldn't take my additional order. Thr app didn't list the funnel cake fries but they were on the menu & my son always raved about them. I pointed out if he had let me finish my sentence at the drive thru I was going to add that I had an additional order, and now I have to go thru the drive thru again for the funnel cake fries. I got free funnel cake fries & they are amazing! The app said there was dine in available. There is not. Unless you count outside picnic tables with umbrellas....in the freezing cold & the dark? No thank you. A few minor fixes in the APP would have made a huge difference in my rating. Not the employees fault. Make the funnel cake fries available on the app & remove the dine in option at this location & it would be 5 stars. Employees were nice, very busy but productive & responsive. Food was great, hot, lots of flavor, good greasy burger & the loaded fries exceeded my expectations. Got plenty of napkins & 2 straws & 2 forks [just me eating alone in my hotel room] and they even left off the onions & easy ice like I ordered in the app. Excellent choice for what was open at that late hour, ordering ahead on the app actually did save me time & it was ready but not...
