China Inn Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Havelock

The delivery time was decent (unlike most of the complaints I see on here). The girl who helped me out over the phone, also decent. She seemed kind of zoned out, but I guess that's to be expected of a teen working that job. That's the 2 stars I'll be giving. As far as the actual food? It was very bland. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. Then to top it off, once I checked all of my boxes, I noticed my Mongolian Chicken was not there. So I called back and let the girl know. The girl was apologetic and seemed to have a handle on the situation. Then out of nowhere, this Chinese lady picks the phone up and starts grilling me. "Howa many boxes you get? I pack myself! I put Mongolian chicken in box with beef broccoli. You get beef and broccoli? (yes) then you get Mongolian chicken." I couldn't believe how she came at me like that. It was a very hostile tone and she was not pleased. All I kept telling her was "I didn't get my Mongolian chicken" She even asked me to go count my boxes and name what food was in each box! So I did, because I was not prepared to start yelling at this lady after a long day at work (all I wanted was my Mongolian chicken). I named each and every single item and none of them contained Mongolian Chicken. She persisted to argue and so on so forth. Seriously, they could've messed up the entire order and given me 6 boxes of Mongolian Chicken and I would've been even happier with that.6 boxes of Mongolian Chicken?! 6 STARS! But I got bad service, bland and over priced food. I hope you have nightmares of a Mongolian Chicken giving you bad service, Rude...

I used to refer to this restaurant as the best Chinese in Havelock but I can’t honestly say that now & I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here. We ordered beef & broccoli, general tso, chicken lo mein, and egg drop soup. Nothing we got was right in a traditional sense & it all looked disgusting. I’m not sure how anyone can mess up egg drop soup but I’ve now been showed that it is possible because it had absolutely no taste. I refused to touch the lo mein because the sight of it was enough to curb my appetite & im 95% positive that they didn’t even use the correct noodles. I’m not sure what they believe general tso chicken is, but the only thing they seemed to get right is that it is a spicy dish. How they went about achieving that spiciness was all wrong though; it had a spicy marina (like tomato based) with red pepper flakes drizzled on top of the chicken. The beef and broccoli was garlic based & the beef LOOKED yellow. The fried rice we received had minimal amounts of egg in it and absolutely no vegetables. Overall, the most heartbreaking thing isn’t that the food is so bad now, it’s the fact that it used to be so amazing & somewhere along the way these past couple years, they changed literally everything and now it’s hard to even look...

The worst experience and service imaginable. I ordered food for my family and I was told delivery would be 45 minutes to an hour. After an hour and a half I had called to find out where the food was. I was told it was on the way and would be there in 10 minutes, following that Call 35 more minutes passed and I called a third time and was told the same thing. Finally 2 hours and 20 minutes later my food arrives, the food is cold and soggy. I then called and told them I would like a refund as the food is disgusting and cold and appeared it had been sitting for a long time. I was then yelled at by the manager that they are overwhelmed and I have to basically deal with it. Not happy with that answer I proceeded to demand a refund. I was told I can have a refund if I give the food back to the delivery driver. After waiting till 8:30 for the driver to show up. I put the food on the porch and proceeded with my nightly routine and making food for my family to eat. It’s not 10:30 at night the food is still there and no refund has been provided.....will never waste my time with this...
