LA PATRONA Cocina Mexicana y Margaritas — Restaurant in Havelock

Went for dinner last night and it was great, as always! We sat outside for the first time and it was just what we needed. We had the back area all to ourselves! Server was so nice and patient with us. I ordered the carne asada with steamed broccoli and rice. My two year old had the Mac n cheese and fries and I’m not too sure of the name of what my fiancé ordered…but he loved it and said the sauce served with it was just as great. I tried it and it was so good I kept dipping my carne asada in it! My son loved his Mac n cheese! And as for my dish, no complaints! Broccoli was tender but crisp and tasted delicious! Rice is always a favorite of mine here, never disappoints! Carne asada was great! Loved the grilled onion on top! I would say it may have been a little excessive with the onion but other than that, perfect! Will be back...

I had the Quesadilla la Patrona. This option is my go to at Mexican places and it was great. The combination of meats really lets me appreciate what the restaurant does wellnso I can order food here in the future.

However, my family came with me and their experience was not mearly as good. Hair in the Fajita Burrito and SUPER salty sausage mix that ruined a dish.

The restaurant response was poor. They should have offered to fix it or replace the food at a minimum. The server did not make that offer and no reasoningnor excuse was provided. Check my reviews if you want, i am fair and honest in them.

The food was very good, and the service was very good as well. The interior was done very bright, with nice seating throughout. The selection of items on the menu are large and the prices are fair. I had the steak with baked potato. I know, a bit unusual to order at a Mexican restaurant, but truthfully it may become one of my go to places for a steak. The steak was delicious and topped with onions, peppers, zucchini and mushrooms. My wife's dish with the chicken and shrimp was delicious as well.
