Decided to order breakfast this morning via Uber eats app. I received a call from the woman who worked on December 11, 2024 (today). Immediately I was accused of not placing my order correctly. I tried to explain that I was a frequent user of the app and they may need to check their set up. On her end it appeared I ordered a small and large O.J., yet she said it only showed a charge for one juice. I said because I only ordered one. She also said that I didn't choose between corn or blueberry for my muffin. I said that's because it is listed as a corn blueberry and did not give an option to choose between two different muffins. She asked why didn't I leave a note. I said because I ordered based on how it was setup. That's why I just advised that they change the set up so they don't have to call every customer for clarification. This woman began to get very upset and started crying and calling me mean. I was mean in her opinion because I pointed out flaws on the app and suggested she tell management and mentioned that I never had this problem before and was trying to be helpful because I have experience in food service. I never leave reviews but this was shocking. Needless to say, I ended up having to cancel the order. I couldn't trust what someone who was emotionally unstable handling my food. I have eaten from this restaurant a few times and the food has been decent. My review is simply a way to get this info to the restaurant so they can fix their app and counsel their employee. It very much sounds like she needs help...

Mom and I had a lunch here for the first time today (saturday). It wont be our last! Absolutely delicious! Mom had two large broiled crabcakes with butter, cocktail sauce, creamy clam soup, applesauce and homemade fries. Wish I’d gotten photos but she was hungry. Lol. I had sizzling hot chicken fajitas (chicken, green peppers, onions and mushrooms) on a cast iron skillet. Soft tacos, diced tomato, lettuce, cheddar cheese, hot green (jalepeno?) peppers, sour cream, guacamole and rice came with it on a huge platter. So much food we took the rest home for dinner! Mom had a big, moist, very rich slice of dark chocolate cake for dessert. I had a few bites. Yum!!! All the staff were very welcoming, the place is super clean, the young man clearing the tables was super quick and thorough. Our waitress Lori doted on mom, she was very sweet and attentive, and refilled our diet pepsi whenever we were low. The people sitting next to us were repeat customers and I noticed no one had to wait long for anything. It wasnt super crowded but I imagine it fills up after church on Sunday. I had a nice view of St. Dorothys across the street. Mom walks with a cane so the thoughtful hostess held the door for her coming in. A gallant gentleman helped mom into her chair and another kind man held the door for us going out. Royal treatment! Mom was very happy, we felt special :-)...

All around GREAT! The food was fantastic and came out quickly even though the place was packed. The service was attentive and friendly and everyone (not just our server) stopped by to ensure we had what we needed. The atmosphere reminded me of a diner mixed with a cafe and was perfect. I had the Irish omelette and asked to customize it - no problem! It was delicious and came with a huge helping of home fries and toast. My husband had a gyro and it was fresh, delicious and accompanied by the BEST fries I’ve had in a long time. We also split the biscuits and sausage gravy and those were 10/10. We ended up with a few take home boxes and a few slices of cake to go. With all that we ordered, the final bill was completely reasonable and we will 100% be back. I can’t wait to try dinner there as well. Lastly, the place said they would be able to do catering and this is definitely going to be on my radar for...

My wife and I heard there was a new place in town so instead of our usual rotation of weekend breakfast spots, we decided to give Drexel Hill Restaurant a try. Overall it was an up and down experience. Our food was good, reasonably priced, and prepared quickly, but the space was quite small and we felt cramped. We also had a difficult time getting someone to give us our check and take payment before leaving. I waited about ten minutes for our waitress to give us a check, but after no one came, I thought that maybe I had to pay at the counter. I was then printed and handed a receipt and told to go back to my table. Eventually our waitress did come out with a check, but it took another five minutes to get someone to help pay the bill. Also, there was no hostess or sign advising you to seat yourself. If anyone from the restaurant is reading this, a sign would go a long way to eliminate the confusion.

Any new diner in Delco is in for some steep competition. Being newly opened, we came here on Sunday morning hoping to see the quality of the restaurant. We were greeted by an entirely-packed restaurant, always a good sign. We were sat relatively quickly, and ordered our food. When it came, several items were missing. I had ordered rye roast with my eggs benedict, but the rye toast was missing. Someone else's entire order was missing, although both items eventually arrived. The food was fine, and the hollandaise was great! There must've been confusion with an order because we were approached multiple times by waiters and waitresses trying to give us an extra order of French toast when we had already received ours. Regardless, the food was still nice, and I hope this place will improve & succeed. I love Drexel Hill, Restaurant!
