Service without a smile! We've eaten in here before and have ordered takeout from here for years. I don't know what was going on with them tonight but our visit was quite disappointing! First of all the server wasn't friendly and acted surprised that we were dining in and as if we were busting her groove. Especially when we were asking for recommendations for the meal. Nevertheless we were nice to her. She rolled her eyes when my husband asked for lemon for our tea and she didn't give it to us either. My husband and I ordered the Pu Pu platter and some chicken and shrimp dish to share. First the fried crispy things w/sauce were horrible. They tasted like they were fried in rancid oil and the sauce was bland. The things on the Pu Pu platter were just as bad and bland. The ribs and teriyaki skewers were hard and dry. The fried shrimp was doughy inside. The others were not worth mentioning. Only the spring rolls that we substituted for the egg rolls were pretty good although oily. The entree was okay and I'd never order it again. It was some kind of combo meal served on one plate. Chopped chicken in a Tso's sauce next to shrimp and bok choy in a white garlic sauce with a tiny bowl of rice. It might have been better if it was served on a larger plate and we could have spread it out. When we asked for more napkins she said we already had one and gave us tiny little ones and not another big one that our silverware was wrapped in. And when we asked for soy and other sauces she balked about that as well. We reluctantly left a tip. All this to say we won't be going back any time...
Read moreI have been a customer to this establishment for over thirteen years. I have repetitively ordered the classic General Tso's Chicken and it has always been one of my favorites on the Szechuan Hill menu. However, tonight I was very disappointed when I excitedly bit into a piece of "chicken" from the dish. The chicken seemed to me not like the meat itself but instead possibly the skin of the animal. Bite after bite, inspecting every piece, it was to my horror that most of the meal's components were indeed similar to the first. When I did find a piece of what looked like chicken, It was the driest piece of "chicken" that I have ever had. I am sad to write this review but I was deeply hurt that a restaurant would let that pass through their doors to the outside world for the consumers. This depresses me because this is how the world is now. I know very few people that slave over making their product the best it can be. What happened to our pride? It is all based on making money as easy as possible. If that is how you want to work- go ahead! I just know it unfortunately will no longer be my money for this particular restaurant, unless they prove me wrong and return to the fine restaurant that I have known for these past years. Hopefully it was just one bad dish out of many...
Read moreOrdered food for my family of 4 online and had my brother go pick up. I purposely put his name as the person who was picking up so there wouldn’t be any confusions. When my brother arrived to pick up the order, the person at the front was rude and had argumentative attitude towards my brother. He called me and said they were demanding him to show the receipt. I order food all the time and have my brother pick up and no place has made it so unnecessarily difficult. My brother also used to own a restaurant where we used all the online third party pickup/delivery services. I heard the lady over the phone how rude she was towards my brother. It was almost $60 order. But let me just say, no more business from us. The food was so terrible. Extremely poor quality ingredients. The noodles were seasoned very unevenly. The utensils were included in the bag. I love Chinese food even leftovers. We maybe ate half of...
