Masami Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Haverford Township

My daughter's and I went here specifically for the Teppinyaki experience. When we walked in it was noticabley empty, midday on a Saturday. The waitress sat us and we were a bit confused initially as there was no Hibachi. Turns out it was on the other side of the restaurant and had to be specifically requested which the hostess didn't tell us She just handed us menus and walked away. We just heard clanking and asked for the Hibachi. The waitress/hostess was miserable and did not smile once. Not when we came, paid nor left. She was a lil rough handed taking the menus back and seemed rather annoyed to be serving us. The room lights were very low and dim with soft music playing. Perfect if you don't want to be overstimulated.

The food and entertainment was great! I really enjoyed our cook as he was very funny and engaging I even got to try Sake for the first time lol. My kids thought the Pee Pee rice was corny but I thought it was hilarious! My only complaint is the steak was a lil tough.

First time ordering sushi from here a few weeks ago since they’re the only place that delivers (I do not like third party delivering apps) and oh my they did not disappoint! The food was very fresh and made in a timely fashion and delivery was super fast! The delivery gentleman was very friendly and verified my identity to make sure that I was the one who placed the huge order prior handing it to me. These little details matter and can save the restaurant huge headaches later on so I do appreciate that! Great food and professional, friendly service! Dark dreary and old inside. Hibachi was supposed to be active for lunch but she said they weren’t doing it until dinner. Should have left but my daughter wanted it for her birthday. Decided to stay and order lunch specials. 5 lunch specials and drinks cost us 90 dollars and it was the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. None of us could finish their food.
