Gino's pizza and roast beef — Restaurant in Haverhill

They have an extensive menu of all kinds of everything besides pizza and subs, so this review is just the beginning as I have a whole lot more to try before I make a definite opinion on this place. Today I ordered the salmon salad, a steak and cheese rice ball, chocolate chip cookie, and a bottle of water. Total was $30. A bit overpriced for one person if you ask me....

Salmon salad was a 3.5/5. Good size salmon portion. Had their homemade greek dressing. Flavor was good, nothing you really wouldn't expect from a salad, I've just had better. And in comparison since its very similar, I like the Greek dressing from Giovannis better. Would order again since salmon is my weakness. Priced at $17 which is the norm for seafood.

Rice Ball was a flat 3/5. I would of given it a 2 but I guess that's pushing it. It wasn't bad, it's just not what I was expecting. It was definitely eatible and I'd eat it again, I just wouldn't buy it again, don't care for it. I'm a rice ball snob and these are not it. Not to mention, they are TEENY for the price. Really should be 2 or 3 dollars at most, not 5.59 for just ONE. Also, it was still frozen/cold in the middle, which I could get by, but still. These don't taste traditional or any where near traditional at all. Flavor was pretty basic at best. Rice was cooked with chicken broth, didn't Have the slightest hint of tomato like typical. It was okay....

Chocolate chip cookie was a 4.5/5 for me. It was loaded with large chunks of chocolate chips and morsels in every bite. Very soft baked. Just the right amount of sweet, not overkill on the sweet. Delicious. 2 bucks.

Side note: I've ordered their wings in the past. They taste EXACTLY like Chinese food chicken wings so if that's your thing, you'll like these. Again, i don't care for Chinese chicken wings, so even though I'd eat them again, I definitely wouldn't buy them again.

I've been ordering from Gino's since they opened. My family orders from them at least once a week....seriously. the food is Great! I get the Lamb tip sub with feta, grilled onions and peppers. Awesome! The pizza is the EXACT type I like, which is hard to find in this area. The subs are good. The seafood is good. The burgers are good. There isn't ANYTHING on their menu that will disappoint you. The staff are warm and inviting, the establishment is spotlessly CLEAN!! If you're from this area, Gino's is the place that will make Haverhill your HOME TOWN. oh, and the wait time is nonexistent, the food is done quickly without compromises on quality and flavor. The food was delicious (OMG those steak tips and taters 💦💯🔥) If I had any advice to give (I have a lot of food service experience) id admit that the pizza was a bit on the soggy side even when I asked for well-done. ...and I only say that out of complete love and hoping that yall kick some serious butt around here.
