We read positive reviews of this restaurant on the Merrimack Valley restaurant page, so finally made a point to go. Both of us were really hungry and both ordered the combo - normally is called a fisherman's plate. Scallops, haddock, shrimp, clams. I don't like clams so I asked if they could skip the clams and add a little more of the others. They didn't hesitate to accommodate my request. The other thing that made me want to go there is that someone posted a picture in the other group, and the onion rings looked great. I hate when anything fried has heavy batter. The onion rings looked so good, close to onion strings if you've ever had those. I called before we made the decision to go there, and asked if they use light coating on the rings, and the lady who answered says 'I'm cutting them right now". So they make their own, no wonder they're not those awful heavily coated rings. The fry was just right on all the seafood, no oil, no grease, perfection. And the seafood was as fresh as could be! It was alot of food. Both of us took some home, we couldn't eat all of it. Both of us would return again. It is not a fancy place, but it is nice with booths. As two old friends that don't get together too often, we hung out for as long as we wanted, catching up. Service was friendly and cheerful. Food came out quick! For us, it was the perfect choice. Fisherman's platter was $24.95, a bargain!

Fantastic. The place doesn’t look like much, but the service and food are fantastic. I ordered the family fried haddock & fries, lobster roll with coleslaw and onion rings and Grape Nut pudding. The lobster roll wasn’t my fav (it was a mayonnaise-based lobster salad which was kinda light on the lobster. The onion rings, tarter sauce and coleslaw were all amazing! The rings were very lightly breaded and had a good amount of seasoning. I was told by the lady in front the haddock was purchased fresh daily at 4am at the seafood market. Not my fav breading, but the fish was very good. I would absolutely come back and try some different items. Excellent service and the food was very fresh. Yum!

Price was fair. food was good and a generous portion was served. Food was fresh and tasty. Carryout only at this time. One person answering the phone and providing counter service deterred me from 5 stars. It was busy and the phone rang continuously while I waited about 8-10 deep in line. My food was ready and was sitting on the counter but the clerk was answering the phone and taking new orders slowing check out process. 20 minutes in line to pickup my food that was ready when I arrived.

Year after year this was my favorite place to eat fish, and I still think they have the best fish and everything else, everything about food is good there. So why 1 star? Today I went in alone with just my service dog, the restaurant was full, and this lady (who is not the blonde short hair lady- who has always been very nice, very polite) the brown short hair lady, when my time came to order just bursted at me, screaming, "not here, you need to put your dog away, not while the restaurant is full." I proceeded to tell her, but she is my service dog, she needs to be with me. She repeated her self again screaming with a bad attitude. I was soooo humiliated, I sat down my heart not feeling well, tachycardia, when she brings me the food to the table, she tells me in low voice, "any other time, but not now because we are full"(wish she would had spoken to me with that same tone and in private the first time. Sometimes is not what you say but HOW you say it, will make a big difference. I sat down, on the other side because one side of the restaurant was full, only about 1 table open, but I was feeling so bad I sat on my own and then ate my food but, couldn't control tears rolling down my cheeks. Really wanted to just ask for a box and leave. It is my right to have my service dog with me everywhere I go, at all times. I am contemplating/thinking of taking this to the courts... As my rights...

Immediately when entering the restaurant I was concerned by the strong smell of rotten fish. I expected it to smell like fish as they serve seafood, but it smelled more like fish that had been sitting in the heat for too long. We got our food in a reasonable amount of time. It was a seafood platter that my husband and I split. The onion rings on the platter tasted like pure grease and I'm not even sure if they contained onions or just batter. The rest of the fried seafood was flavorless (battered scallops, haddock, clam strips and shrimp). The service was below average; our server approached our table while she was in the middle of a personal call on her cell phone. This was during the peak of the COVID pandemic in 2021 and she was not wearing her mask (I'm updating this review in 2022 to clarify that the food did in fact make my husband and I sick). She didn't even put down her phone when she handed us our food; she just laid it on her shoulder and continued on with her personal conversation. The environment was very unwelcoming; as soon as we entered the restaurant we weren't even greeted. There was just some old man behind the counter giving us dagger eyes. There were flies buzzing around and dead flies on the windowsill next to our table. When we got home after eating some of the platter which didn't taste much like anything, we got explosive diarrhea. I will not be...
