Jollibee — Restaurant in Hawaii

2/15/2022 I was excited because it was over 2 years since I had Jollibee. We went shopping at Seafood City and decided to pick up lunch. They had an employee holding the door open outside and watching the line due to covid protocol of not letting too many people inside the ordering area at once. Hubby ordered the spicy chicken sandwich combo with fries and a drink and he ordered me a two-piece Chicken Joy combo with spaghetti and a drink. The employee was friendly and our take out order was made quickly. However, when we got home and I opened my meal it had rice and gravy instead of spaghetti. I had been looking forward to the spaghetti so I was disappointed but of course the chicken is always good and so is the gravy. Hubby enjoyed his chicken sandwich and shared his fries with me. This has to be the worst Jollibee ever. There were 10 people behind the counter who knew absolutely nothing on what the other was doing. They were losing orders, tickets were falling on the floor with nobody paying attention, it is a complete mess. In the meantime you have people upset for waiting from 45 mins to an hour. One customer was waiting for over an hour. I had to say something to bring this to their attention. The manager was giving us an excuse that there were a lot of customers. Ummm, that is not an excuse. She had 10 people behind the counter making it very tight for all of them to move around in and none of them had any organization or system working together. 2 employees were in the restroom holding up the line of people who needed to use the toilet while they were doing their hair and makeup. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I tried their 2 pc chicken option and it was not what I expected. Also, their spicy chicken sandwich It was only spicy because it had slices of jalapeños on top of the chicken. For me it wasn’t satisfying and it felt as if it lacked flavor and personality. The fries lost what little spunk they had within about 10-15 mins after we left the restaurant and they were no longer fun to be around. The pineapple quencher was ok. It tasted as if pineapple was about 5th on the list of ingredients when formulated the recipe.

Overall, the food was ok. The service was lacking, she didn’t seem as if she wanted to be there. The atmosphere was pleasant or welcoming at all. Honestly, I won’t be going back to that location again and as for the others, I’m not interested in wasting more money to give them another chance of redemption… 😂 🙄 dramatic 😂… I had to say that.
