We are currently staying at the hotel and so far this is our favorite restaurant on property. At least for the price! We have eaten there twice now and the food was awesome both times. Plus there is plenty of shaded seating and views of the dolphins too! But just to warn you, whatever they bread their fries with, it is addictive! We can’t get enough of them!
We tried their club sandwich and the Japanese milk bread which they use is something special. It’s thick, moist and sweet so it adds this amazing flavor to the sandwich. We also got the fish tacos (forgot to get a picture) and they were absolutely loaded with fresh fish and the papaya added such a delicious sweetness! They also have a pretty good kids menu so my daughter was able to grab her usual grilled cheese and fries. She said it was good! She also had her eye on the turtle chocolate cake for dessert and it did not disappoint either. It wasn’t too heavy, the inside was almost frozen, plus that layer of chocolate mouse on top…it was so good to finish off the meal with an icy cold dessert!
The second time we ordered the burger, the spicy chicken sandwich and the club sandwich again. The burger is amazing! Wow, we ordered it medium and it was juicy, high quality beef. We were just missing pickles!! But the server was happy to grab us a few. The spicy chicken sandwich was smoky hot! It tasted like chipotle chili pepper and I was there for it!! Coleslaw on top cooled it down nicely too. We also got the dynamite fries and if you like an eel sushi roll, this tastes a lot like that, except with fries. It’s sweet and creamy. And don’t underestimate the house salad with papaya dressing. I could bottle it up! I learned they make all of their dressings in house too!
We will be eating there again while we are here. It’s not cheap, but nothing here is and the food is fantastic and it comes out fast! Just don’t walk away from your food! We watched a few unsuspecting families turn their backs on their food and the birds swooped in like vultures and...
Read moreIt's your typical overpriced poolside grill at a resort. However, this is the highest resort my husband and I have ever stayed at where the prices are so obscene at all of there restaurants. I guess because there's not much to eat around there. They have you. Especially by the pool and beach because there is nothing else to eat in that area . I had the cheese burger. Nothing special but not terrible .My husband had ordered the hotdog. He did not care for it. It's not a normal hotdog. It's some kind of weird sausage meat. He took one bite and asked if he could order something else. He did not want our money back. He just wanted to order something else and the manager said no. So that was $22 wasted. The servers are nice there and attentive. Just dont expect anything great food wise. I highly recommend going to the Walmart that is about 12 minutes away. If you are not renting a car, a shuttle will take you there . I recommend stocking up on food and drinks as you will have a small refrigerator in your room and a small microwave is on...
Read moreWe are staying at the Hilton and were starving after checking in and walking around the resort. Saw this place and figured it wouldn’t be too bad,... sat down (away from the dolphins, because honestly it’s cruel to watch them be held captive, it’s not entertainment as others say it is) ordered some drinks and then some food. Well we got our food way before our drinks, we were told the bartender was backed up. Even though we were at the bar a few minutes before ordering and it was dead,... drinks finally came and they were overly sweet with no alcohol. I got the boco veggie burger which was basically a giant bun, with 5 pieces of brown lettuce, a butt piece of a tomato and the tiniest boco veggie burger. It was also undercooked, didn’t realize it until I woke up this morning having to go to the bathroom. Needless to say, not how I wanted to start our honeymoon at the Hilton. Do yourself a favor and go off the resort to the Island Gourmet to buy some food, cheaper and bigger portions...
