I got the spare ribs with lemon chicken and fried rice plate. The spare ribs were mainly just bones and sauce. There was more daikon than meat. The fried chicken pieces were ok-ish, but the lemon sauce didn't taste right. The fried rice was ok. I also ordered 2 pork hash as well, and those were probably sitting there awhile because they were pretty dried out. Went there for lunch, but the food wasn't even freshly made. If you're gonna charge an arm and a leg for the food, at least make it enjoyable to eat. Some days the food is good and some days the food isn't all that great... what made me even more upset were the won ton. I got an order of 12. More wonton wrapper and a little tiny piece of meat. This is something I could've easily made at home myself....I know back in the day this place was awesome. Now, just like some other places in Hilo, it sucks🫤👎🏼👎🏼

One of the long time best Chinese joints in hilo for a quick bite that’s quality. Their char siu is my favorite compared pretty much most of the lunch type Chinese places. They have a nice buffet type set up where you can choose what you want. Pay by the choice. Great place !

I got 2 choices, 1 was char siu and the other was roast duck, the roast duck they gave only 3 pieces all bones, on the other hand the char siu they gave lots.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The employees are extremely disrespectful for absolutely no reason. Not only did they make fun of us in front of our faces in whatever language they speak.. they did not listen to the order.. they lied about having veggie spring rolls and tried to sell me some weird egg roll with olives and mushrooms.. they talk story over our heads to the people behind us while we are ordering ( not paying attention to the order ).. we finally get our food and it’s gross af! How tf do you mess up noodles this bad?? The noodles were beyond dry. The only veggies were celery and onion, lots and lots and lots of onion. It tastes like the only “ seasoning “ they used was 1/4 pound of black pepper and oil. So while you’re eating your dry onion noodles you get this lovely feeling of sand paper with all the black pepper. The rice we got was beyond bland, zero flavor. Both the rice and noodles were cold. They even gave us attitude for asking for soy sauce. Super unprofessional, major disappointment.. save your money, go home stir fry your own noodles/rice add your own sauce and seasonings.. for a fraction of the price you can cook something way better.

Dear employees/owner of leungs chop suey.. if you’re going to sell crappy food at least give the customer some respect. We are the ones...

Very disappointed with the service.

1st off the Filipino cashiers who will pocket your money if you do not notice the overcharging of billing. After being overcharged. I walked up to the front to ask the cashier why she didn't catch it early. $9.00 which she was about to throw in her tip bowl. I am so offended.

2nd off talking in Filipino joking about customers when serving them is very awkward for me when I could understand all the jokes that were being said to customers who are unawares ... including comments made about me. This is cause for a lawsuit. And around the wrong people may be persued.

3rd off there were no napkins up front or offered to us on a table with 2 children.

I have been coming here with family and visitors for many years.

What a disgrace. After today I will be telling all my family and friends about this...
