Read moreIf you go to Kona please stop and patronize this fantastic place. It may be the one of the highlight of our trip. There are many to choose from but with the name and 4.7 rating in google we chose this. The moment we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces of Annie & Robin. We were offered fresh Kona coffee, macadamia nuts, and an explanation on how to chew the nuts to a paste then take a sip of coffee. WOW. We hung out on the back deck with a beautiful relaxing view. We looked at a variety of beautiful pottery. They served us fresh fruit and then let us pick some 4-6 variety of fresh fallen fruit to take home for free. My Filipino family recognized a plant they use for soup/stews and they even learned about what it is and how to cook it. We got to hear the story of how the name came to be but missed the opportunity to meet the owner, Bill. We missed the tour of the farm but did not have the time either. We got a honey latte with fresh cinnamon both from their farm and it was sooooo tasty! We left with a few bags of coffee and nuts. This place is filled with Aloha Spirit and we will be back next time when we travel here to do the tour. If I could give 10 I would. Somehow I felt we came out ahead and enriched by...
Read moreMy heart choked up as I walked into this place. I felt a weight on me I couldn't pin point I found out later what it was. We ordered a Cappuccino , a Mocha and a Pastry and while I waited, I looked at the beautiful pottery the owner made. The Chrystalline Vases were breath taking beautiful. The Owner is such a beautiful soul and we listened to some of his Stories about the Cacao and Coffee they grow. While we sat and gazed over the ocean and lush green, I thought of my best friend and her late Baby. How she would love this place and while I thought of her and baby Logan , Dolly Parton started singing " There was Jesus" a song they played at Logans Celebration of life in that very moment My friend send me a picture of Logan telling me , she was just reminded of this photo and tears started rolling down my face and I just felt Logan was with me the first moment I walked into Sacred Grounds. There was two little Bears in a Shelf and Logans nickname was "Logi Bear" just so many signs of him. So special to me.
The coffee is delicious, the Pastry was a crunchy Almond marzipan Danish it was very good. We had some little cute lizards visiting our table while we enjoyed the view.
Thank you for this...
