Excellent family run restaurant with truly homemade food in generous portions! Nestled between Ace Hardware and Choice Mart in Captain Cook, this sweet little outdoor seating-only restaurant is a very pleasant place to sit outside while enjoying the bustle of neighbors and island visitors to and from these popular shops. I had the most excellent torta al pastor, with a beautifully flavorful marinated pork mixture on a nice chewy textured bun. Amazing, I’m from Los Angeles where we have access to REAL Mexican food that isn’t American or Hawaiian style. I’ve lived here for 6 years now and left my family behind in California so I have been missing the authentic food that we would cook often. there has never been authentic Mexican food here that has satisfied me. Were can I start. My family and I were driving all the way from hapuna Beach to come and taste this place that closed at 7 and we arrived 1min before they closed. The owner was about to put the closed sign and he saw us and smiled and said we will take care of you. That was a very nice gesture no additude at all. The food was amazing....
