Was super excited to try this place but was devastated by the terrible service. Our party had to clear out our own table after being seated. We honestly didn't mind in the beginning but after having waited an hour and twenty minutes for our orders to come out, I finally asked our server if it would take any longer because we could just cancel and leave instead. Orders came out after less than 5 minutes, which meant they were probably already ready a while ago. Food was great but they failed to let us know there was no more rice for one of the orders. We really didn't have any choice since we didn't want to wait another hour just for rice. Our server plopped our food plates on the table like she couldn't be bothered. I was too hungry to even say anything. Asking for a water refill took another long time and so did the bill. I looked for another server to give my card to because ours was clearly having a bad day. The other server was kind enough to apologize for all the delay and let us know they were down a server that day. I get it, it's busy and they're under staffed but it still isn't any excuse to take it out on customers. At least over communicate to manage expectations so we're not left in the dark wondering if our orders would ever come out or if they ran out of what we ordered. To be fair, maybe it was only our particular server who was having a bad day today but it definitely left a bad impression on us. Food was good but I think I could recommend elsewhere for the same view and food without the long wait and service...
Read moreTwo of my friends and I were excited to try this interesting menu (we split everything)! We began our lunch with 2 Shrimp Cocktails and the Fried Oysters. We were informed they only had enough shrimp for 1 Shrimp Cocktail; it was 1:30pm on a Friday. The Shrimp Cocktail was fine, however the cocktail sauce tasted like ketchup. The Fried Oysters tasted like fried nothing; they were very heavily breaded. For our entrees we got the Shrimp Platter, the Cajun Grilled Fish Tacos, and the World Famous Fish and Chips. The Shrimp Platter was all fried (not stated on the menu) and had the taste of fried nothing; I strongly believe the scallops were frozen and not fresh. The World Famous Fish and Chips were bland; even the fries needed seasoning. The Cajun Grilled Fish Tacos were the only thing worth eating, however I asked for no tomatoes and it came with tomatoes on it. The only reason this review wasn't given a 1 is because of the view (we happened to see a whale jump out of the water a couple times which was very exciting). We were upset for how bad the food was especially because of how much we paid for it. We ended up with the feeling of a brick in our stomach a bit after we left. Save your money...
Read moreThe View (as in the view from the restaurant) is pretty much the only thing going for the place… the service was slow, often ignored, and I waited over an hour just to get a drink. Their excuse was they didn’t have enough glasses, even though half the tables in the restaurant were empty. Several others at my tables drink never arrived or they had to ask multiple times if they’d forgotten the order and when they did arrive, cocktails were not enjoyed - beer took just as long to arrive. The food was hit and miss among the group, but we were all a bit fed up by the time it arrived. Perhaps if management buy more glassware and more staff were rostered on (seemed like there was only one waitress and bartender for the whole restaurant?), this place could improve - but I would have been happier to drink from a bowl if it meant I’d get a drink before my food arrived. They missed out on a lot more dollars from my group, as we would have ordered several more drinks if the first round even came before they were coming back to ask for last call 🤦♀️ Would have given 1 star, but the poke nachos bumped it up a notch. Definitely better views and experiences elsewhere in...
