This shave ice really hit the spot today! My wife, four kids, and I tried and loved a rainbow of flavors (there are tons to choose from) - tiger's blood, passion fruit, guava, pina colada, papaya, coconut, and root beer were ours today and they were great. But what really blew us away was the owner's incredible kindness. When she heard my youngest trip and sent his shave ice flying, she immediately asked which flavors he'd had and remade it for free, no questions asked. It turned a potential meltdown into a moment of joy, and we were so grateful for her thoughtfulness. Honestly, I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews about the service; the owner was ready to take our orders right away but I didn't feel any pressure like other reviewers have claimed. This place has a real mom-and-pop feel, definitely a bit quirky and colorful, but that just adds to its charm. Before today, Uluani's had been our "gold standard" for shave ice. I consider this place on par; the ice wasn't quite as soft and the flavors maybe just a bit less intense, but the prices were noticeably more accessible and there were several more fun flavor and topping options available than elsewhere. I'd be happy to visit either. Don't miss this hidden gem!

Shaved Ice is essentially frozen ice with flavored juices of your choice on top. Price was decent I guess: $5 for small or $6.50 for medium. The picture is medium which comes in this plastic cone, small comes in a small cup. You can choose up to 3 flavors included. You pay additional $0.80 for snow cap which is essentially a layer of condensed milk over everything. It's an interesting experience but it's literally just flavored ice. Nothing fancy. There are lots of comments about Lady who serves. In my opinion, she was fine, just have some compassion people. She probably works a low wage and is single handed at the store. So be patient and if you tip her, you will actually make her smile and make her day. 😊

Visited in September '23. So good, we visited 2x during our visit to Kona. This is located in a local shopping centre and it is tucked away, unless you know what you're looking for. Their menu is quite extensive and I was delighted to see Ube on an ice cream menu. They also serve Halo Halo! And oh my goodness, it is delightful. Their Halo Halo does have local influences which I didn't mind but just something to be aware of if you're looking to find an authentic halo halo (for example, they put sago/tapioca pearls in their Halo Halo). It looked to be run by a family and the shop is quite small (bar stool seating area) so wouldn't linger.

This review is only on the lady who was working behind the counter on Monday the 22nd , 2024. I did not even try anything on the menu after how rude and unprofessional this individual was. She showed no Aloha to me or to my friend visiting from the mainland and After asking her what was in a certain beverage I got only grumpy , snappy non helpful remarks so we left. A cavewoman would have been more commutative… I can see why the family in front of us left the way they did if she treated them the way we were. Again, this review is just for the customer service not the drinks. I hope whoever this person is gets to the source of their resentments and learns not to take it out on other customers. Should have realized for a worker who was hocking loogies on break in the public center around other people that we where going to be treated like the...

My friends and I went to this shop after we got lunch at KTA. I got the halo halo, my brother got the milk tea shave ice cone, and my two friends got the cookie dough ice cream and honey dew shave ice boba. When I got my halo halo, it tasted like ice with condensed milk on it, not even sweetened. The ube ice cream and the boba was the only salvageable part of the dessert. My friends ice cream had a hair on the spoon, and when we went to ask for another spoon, the server went about it in an unfriendly matter. The honey dew shave ice cone tastes like watered down melona with boba. The only good drink was the milk tea shave ice cone. Overpriced for not that good of a drink. This place feels like a tourist trap, but if you're looking for a convenient sweet treat this place is...
