This tucked away restaurant offers classic and delicious tacos al vapor from the streets of Guadalajara, Mexico. The meats for our tacos were fall-apart-tender, super flavorful, and the amount was far more than generous, piled high onto their housemate tortillas. Their habanero salsa is delicious and brings some heat, while their green one is zesty and delightful! The horchatas are super creamy, but somehow still light and refreshing. They are not super cinnamony, which was more to my taste, so that was perfect ♡
They serve both cabeza (beef head) and cachete (beef cheek), which both come from the beef cheek, but the different is that the cachete option has no cheek fat included with the meat! I had never heard of that, but that was super cool. I still ordered the cabeza, since it's tenderness and flavor are unrivaled in my head. 😋
