One of the best breakfast spots in Hawthorne. I would classify Mandy’s as a Country Diner for multiple reasons. It feels like you’re eating in someone’s house vs a 50’s car-centered diner, and I mean that in a positive way. It’s very homely and you can tell it’s the sort of place that is filled with regulars and travelers alike. I am a huge fan of diners and was excited to eat as soon as I saw the inside. It’s a true classic diner in all senses of the word. It’s quite large on the inside and they have plenty of indoor only seating options. They have booths, tables, and counter seating. There is a large free parking lot attached so parking is easy and plentiful. Our server was very polite and she was very fast with the refills. Just like any classic diner they have a lot of great options on their large menu plus a rotating list of daily specials. I started off the meal with a cup of coffee, per usual, and it was tasty and strong. For my meal I chose my favorite breakfast dish: the Eggs Benedict. It was very good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The ham was thick and cooked to a perfect temperature. As a side I chose one biscuit topped with gravy and it was fantastic. It was a true thick, flaky, old-school biscuit and it went quickly. Overall I was very impressed. I live up in West LA so am not in this area often, but I would stop in again next time I am down in the area and would certainly suggest to anyone in the area of heading to it.

We found Mandy's and decided to dine in before heading to LAX. Absolutely delicious food with huge portions and great prices. We got the Top O' The Morning with 3 French toast, 2 sausage, 2 bacon and 2 eggs, and the breakfast special which included a bacon, spinach and cheese omelette, 2 pancakes, and hash browns or home fries. The pancakes were probably the fluffiest pancakes I've ever. The atmosphere is very much a classic, local diner which we enjoyed but was a bit loud as well. If you had a sound sensitive person, they may need some ear protection. Service was great as well and we never ran out of coffee, our order was also taken quickly and food was cooked and ready in no time at all.

Classic American diner in Hawthorne. Came here with a friend on a weekday morning and there was no wait. Free parking available in their lot. We split the breakfast burrito and breakfast chorizo skillet. We got a side of sourdough bread with the skillet and breakfast potatoes with our burrito. Food came out quickly and the waiter was really nice. Plenty of indoor booth seating and the meals were hearty (albeit oily). They do have a healthy menu available if you’re counting calories. Credit cards are accepted.

4 stars... this place? Omg the food we had was atrocious.

I had Onion Rings, ate half of one, had a very peculiar taste which as best as I can describe: 'soggy soaked with really old fry oil". The double cheeseburger was nothing special (a QP from McD's would have been 100x better), finished half of it, the fries were ok - but didn't have the old oil taste like the rings, so dunno what was up with the rings.. Friend had the roast beef, he found it difficult to cut and really chewy, and he commented the gravy tasted funny, After the first forkful, he gave up on the mashed taters. Neither of us could finish what was on the plate... and like some other reviewers, my stomach started gurgling shortly after leaving there. The One Star minimum is because I have to give it one. But maybe they deserve it, as the sodas were ok, even tho the plastic glasses were old worn faded and looked a bit unsanitary. In a...

I came here fooled by the high rating. The staff were very friendly and the food was seasoned well, thats were the positive ends. My food was undercooked, the food came with hair in it, they said they would recook the meal but returned the same exact plate in under 2 minutes, they didnt have some of the menu items, half of my bisquit was fluffy and the other half was too hard to cut, by the time the last person recieved their meal at our table of 4, the first person already finished, we didnt get our drinks until we were almost done, the restaurant smelled like urine from a homeless person- the bathroom smelled better, and at the end they overcharged us by adding food that we never ordered which took talking to 3 different people until they realized the error. This was the worst experience I have ever had in hundreds of restaurants around...
